    some may argue with this advice, but apply anyways. what's the worst they can do, call you for an interview? You already don't have the job, it can't hurt!

    also, what Lreading said as well, it never hurts to apply somewhere that you don't have the experience for. you may never know what comes of it.

    I should have added:

    My current job lists a degree as a requirement or equivalent experience. I never finished my degree and only had 1.5 years experience when I started. getting the interview is the hardest part, but a lot of times they list loose requirements.
