I'm wanting to get back into Linux. Can anyone recommend me a good Version of Linux to install on my PC?

Arch: Manjaro
Debian: Xubuntu

What features are you desiring?
Keeping the newbie friendliness in mind,

The usual suggestions will probably be Ubuntu and derivates (elementary, mint, kububtu, netrunner).
Opensuse is definitely also worth a look.

Could suggest Manjaro and antergos on the Arch camp, but keep in mind, that Arch isn't necessarily known for stability...

@Keno first of all what you are looking for is a Linux distribution. Not a Linux version. If you want to learn and understand a Linux distro and not just use it, Arch is the answer. Otherwise any mainstream distro is decent (mint, Ubuntu etc.)

@syscall distribution is what is meant yeah. I've used Ubuntu and what not but I'm looking for a good one for data science/Python and mobile development as those are the 2 things I'm interested in mostly.

I mean I use Windows but I like Linux a lot.

Now I know it doesn't quite have the same amount of packages as Debian, but Solus seems to be running pretty damn well.. maybe that would be worth a look?

Arch if you want bleeding edge but you need to know Linux well enough to build it. Good if you like fixing problems.
OpenSuSE was quite nice when I used it! But it didn't like my broadwell-e hardware.
Otherwise Solus is great and super friendly. You want atom, vscode or another editor or even full blown IDEs? BAM just install it from the software centre menu. Very sleek and quick

@Keno no harm with just trying them to see how you go. Just avoid things like Kali unless your pentesting and even then its not an everyday use distro. A lot of newish Linux users pick it and get confused. Even Kali devs tell many not to use it if its outside pentesting... http://docs.kali.org/introduction/...
