Am I the only one who hates in app browsers? I fucking hate them. If I want to look at something later, I like to click the link, then close chrome. I'll have the tab to return to it later. But these shitty in app browsers that you can't turn off makes that a pain in the ass.

It's love-hate, I understand their benefits from a user and developer standpoint (keeping user in your app). But yeah, I get lost in whether what I was reading was in my chrome or not, and then it's gone 😕

I totally agree, especially when you click on a link to a site where you need to log in...

Go to your google settings and turn the in app browser off, problem solved.

Totally agree, especially when they work like shit (e.g. Youtube videos in freakin' Messenger).

@cr78 Facebook and Instagram still have it. (I never use Facebook, so it's no big deal, just annoying asf).

Well, I got a 4 years old device (LG G3 mini) and honestly the in-app browsers helped my device a lot. With less than 1gb ram on the phone, when I open a link from facebook to chrome and then return to facebook, the app loads again from the start cause it couldnt keep it on the ram. This is very frustrating... With the in app browser though you just open the link, read the article or whatever and return back to the app without delay or restarts.
