What if an enormous asteroid hits the entirety of earth and all our codebase, hardwork, passion, and js frameworks get wiped out?

I'm still not convinced that would wipe out ALL the JavaScript Frameworks.

One day aliens will unbury my shattered laptop, look at the messy code which I have to fix in my current hobby project and say:
-The search for intelligent life continues!

No loss.
Sometimes i yearn for that day...

The Pirate Bay would still be up though.

We could bitch about it or we could rebuild our collective codebase.

With the help of the developers that right now spend their time making shit backwards compatible and the experience from our mistakes we could do really nice things.

Actually maybe it would be a good turn of events. Unless it kills us all.
