Alright! I'm starting to like DietPI.

I liked Raspbian before, but setting up a headless system really was a PITA.

And with DietPI... it seems as if it was made for headless setups.

Finally, I'll have my proxy hub.

    Unfortunately, raspberry pi hardware is completely out of date. You can get a second-hand android phone for basically free with 3x the power. USB-C port on these phones means you can basically get the same IO, too.

    RPi 4 is hard to get AND expensive.

    Was good while it lasted, and matched the specs of a cheap laptop for 1/10th the cost.

    @AlgoRythm the phone idea is actually pretty solid. Since phones are so cheap you technically even could build a little cluster with it.

    But it also kinda depends on how easily accessible the bootloader of them is, and what specific images you can use.

    @AlgoRythm I have 2 or 3 of RPI4s, so I can afford messing around with them :)

    Doing a router-on-a-stick with a phone.... doesn't feel right. + if I use that USB-C for an UTP adapter, I'll have to do smth about an alternative PSU as the battery ain't going to hold for that long.

    @netikras yeah the battery is the biggest issue i'd say.

    I used some old phone as a webcam for the longest time. But at some point it just became a spicy pillow.

    The camera quality was unmatched tho 👌

    @thebiochemic that's a fair point. All the sensors and actuators embedded in a tiny enclosure
