Exactly why I had dual boot with Windows 10, just to use illustrator and Photoshop. Until my hdd fucked up. Wine is an option but when I wanted to try, it required >500mb files to download so I just pressed "n".
-
@olback Not an option because it'd barely do anything properly because of the limited resources.
-
@Cyanite that too!
Although games and their performance have improved heaps on Linux, there's still a long way to go -
sjzurek4487yWhy don't you try native Linux apps? Ever heard of rawtherape? There are others too.
Darktable is quite good. -
pajaja17337yWipe that malware piece of shit. I do a lot of photo editing so I have Windows 7 for that. There is nothing in the world that would force me to use that garbage MS calls Win10

pajaja17337y@sjzurek Thanks for the RawTherapee tip, looks nice i will try it. But those are just replacement for Lightroom (ACR), not for Photoshop. I didn't like the darktable, it looked like they put more effort into making a Lightroom clone than into providing a full feature set.

orto11557yOperating systems are a platform not the sum of their features.
If windows has a superior library of software and games.
Why do people insist its the inferior platform. -
fthielen6267ySame with Microsoft Office. There is no real replacement if you have to do more advanced stuff than normal Text editing

Serious considering wiping the Windows 10 partition on my computer.
Only thing keeping me from doing it is the Adobe Suite. Damn it.
If only they made it for Linux, life would be such a blessing.
P.S. : GIMP is not a replacement.
