Welp, time to ditch devRant

I don't mind green dots posting the same things over and over (and let's be honest, everyone had some of those complaints when we started coding), but what's been happening lately with spam and bots is just too much.

Thanks for the ride @dfox, it's been good while it lasted. Too bad I never got a dev duck tho, they were always out of stock :(

    Let's not let a single person ruin this for us. That means they win. Clearly the measures of the platform have not been effective yet, but the community could do something as well (especially including myself). Maybe we should just ignore him now that we know who we are talking about.

    We should create a report system where people can report a rant and once it has enough reports it gets downvoted by thousand bots /s

    @j0n4s I think we should create a downvote system where your votes would be counted even after you downvote a few spam messages /s

    I would suggest being able to ban people, if they got multiple reports from multiple people across a timespan of 14 days or so.

    The problem with this just would be, that someone, who is botting could potentially singlehandedly ban people

    @Bubbles it's not that long since someone found aok's identity outside devrant from his posts and posted about it in a threatening way. Seemingly he got banned, not sure if for doxxing or for abusive behaviour. Maybe a bit of both, but the latter is rarely punished.

    I left devrant for about half a year because of aok. I was tired of reading that sick man’s trash on a daily basis
