I don't get why people would want to reinvent the wheel. If you can't improve it why do it?

@xroad exactly. What makes a great idea good for market is execution. Sometimes, the one who has the idea can't execute it properly

I agree a lot of people seem to work like this, but for the life of me I can't understand why. My first thought when faced with some day-to-day trivial task is "someone must have already solved this - I'm sure I'm not the first".
