So some programmers (specially C programmers, it seems) have this terrible habit of writing very short-named variables. Then in order to understand the code, you need to decipher the meaning of each variable. Example:

unsigned int i, n, h, mw, my, ty;
```
This is from one of the "Suckless" projects by the way. They pride themselves in having small number of code lines so this is probably why.24 -
Honestly, I spent years trying to make the most out of every functionality that the languages provided... After 7 years of that, last 3 I only use the most basic things and I can say: it is far superior to keep things simple. I'm making deadlines in a third of expected time, debugging is a piece of cake, and adding new features usually takes about 5 minutes thanks to very simple and straightforward design.
TL;DR: Keep It Simple Stupid

I was tinkering around with my linux installation and trying to decide on a new terminal to use, and I ended up compiling st (suckless terminal). On a whim, I decided to look through the source code and see how much of it I would understand.
There was a C header file called arg.h that uses the preprocessor and macros to parse argument flags and songs by setting up a switch statement in a loop, all in under 50 LoC. To use it, just wrap the switch body between ARGBEGIN and ARGEND, and that's it. The comment at the top simply read "copy me if you can", a challenge to future programmers such as myself.
It was the most beautiful, elegant solution I have ever seen. I tried to tell my girlfriend about it, but she just didn't get it. Maybe some of you will appreciate it more:

Hey Arch people! Wanna help a newbie get started? I'm very comfortable with sysadmin and are currently using Ubuntu with XMonad for DE.
I'd like to 'build' my own, super minimal system. It should preferably have gtk theming with XMonad as de. I've been looking at suckless and are currently wonder what I actually need to prepare/know in order for networking, VSCode(or learn vim), QT and docker to run on the system. It has a Nvidia graphics card and I'd like to use it for ML too.
Dont worry, I'm also going through the Arch page and are looking for answers to my questions & thoughts.. I just know I haven't thought of everything yet, probably not even all the basics.
Oh and please roast me for my ignorance, as long as you tell me something useful 😝6
