First day at my first workplace as a dev. waiting for my laptop to load up, nothing happens, black screen. waiting sitting patiently and silently for approx. 20 minutes.

the monitor was off.

I prefer watching YouTube tutorials created by natural, cursing and burping developers to videos created by sterile people with fake smiles and awful jokes.

Ms Visual Studio is killing me

The moment when you can't get something working for the love of God, you call a colleague who suggest the simplest and already tried out solution, which magically now works.

Then he goes back to his place and your code breaks again.

I guess my terrabyte drive that failed on me. Killing my psu in the process. It malfunctioned roughly 3months after installing. Luck, i had warranty, badluck, no backup and no recovery program that could do the trick.

Give me a freakin' error message already!!!!!!!!!!!

So apparently windowses "mirror drive" functionality is garbage. It is supposed to work like raid 1 and write data to two partitions simultaneously, but instead it randomly selects a drive and then proceeds to copy over the whole more recent drive image onto the older one daily at 3 am, thus writing a terrabyte of data to one of my drives daily. Thanks Microsoft!

Well fuck you too windows, my disk is where it is suposed to be, even though the controller is broken. Even linux can still find it. Although it takes a while to load the actual transfer. Recovery of terrabites takes ages

I swear refactoring to make something strongly typed feels as good as opening a jar.

When boss asks not to have it on desktop, and you ship it available only on desktop.

Reorganizing my personal docs and repos and documenting old repos feels good.

I can't delete stuff!

I am currently sorting through my harddrive(s) and realized I have over 800 gigabytes of raw audio and video from four of our theatre productions lying around. The films have long been edited and there is no use for the source material anymore.
But just in case, I'm keeping it. You never know...
