Hello ranters, I have to send my beloved laptop to acer support to get somethings fixed and I'm worried for my stickers. I don't want to get them damaged or lost (maybe they need to change the screen back plate or maybe they send me a new laptop all together). Is there a way to peel the off and reapply them with new glue?5

My mother got me a programmagle calculator this year for christmas, a Casio fx9750gII. Needless to say I'm already hooked. Casio BASIC might not be the best language I've ever used, and working with string is pretty much impossible but I'm actually having real fun. Hopefully I'll finish my snake code by this week (will update with pics :P).4 -
I was changing the PEI sheet on my 3D Printer and in the process I manged to also destroy the temperature sensor😭.
I was trying to order a new one and internet went down too. I also have school tomorrow so I need to go to sleep.
😣I need the printer for a thing I have to deliver in 5 days.
Guess I'll have to take the sensor from another bed (hopefully without destroying this one too).
Fffffffuuuuuuuccccckkkkk -
Yesterday my phone decided not to boot anymore. I needed some of the data that is in there, but I can't take the phone to samsung support to bring it back because it is highly sensible and TOP SECRET data.
So I was all on my own. I have never done anything similar to this so it was all shitty guides and forum post I had.
2 hours of researching pass.
I installed a software called Odin to reinstall android and maybe get my data back (better lost than in someone' else hands).
Not only did I have to fucking wait 3 hours of downloading android because my samsung account is free and thus samsung gives limited download speed, it didn't even fuckking work!
Now my phone is even more fucked and I don't know what to do3 -
Fuck NodeJS and Python, C# and strong-typing is all I need in life. (But python is sometimes useful)10

Hello DevRant, these are my sincere apologies.
I'm noticing just now that this beautiful community is being floaded with unoriginal and repetetive memes. I'd like to say that I'm really sorry for being somewhat part of the problem. I hope you can understand my intention weren't bad (I got my 30++ because of actual rants).
Thank you and have a good day3 -
Excel is the best worsy fucking software. It has every feature you can think of except the one you actually need. Every time I use I end up yelling at my poor laptop. Even things that should be simple are made impossibly hard and unmanageable.6

I'm working on a Web API for retrieving informarion of some sort (can't speak as it is a work in progress😝).
Before starting to work on this project all the experience I had was Desktop (C#, VB) and some SQL but now I'm learning so much more: REST, Asp.net core, nosql, GraphQL and more.
Even if I can't finish this project, still what I'm learning is even more valuable2 -
On my trip to New York I bought a C# 7 in a Nutshell book (nutshell being 1000+ pages).
The best money I've ever spent. That thing is awesome😍1 -
I never really used Git or any Source Control before but today I decided yo give it a shot.
IT'S FUCKING AMAZING!!
I fucking love branches!!! I have to change the way an app stores configurations and git makes it incrediblyyy easy without risking fucking up everything in production5 -

So this is my desk.. really organized and clean as you can see.
Let's start from the left.
That naked motherboard you see is my enterprise grade server running Debian on an intel i3 something with 4GB of ram and a 500gb hdd.
Moving on to the right you can see some flutes (Notice the pink one).
Then there is my beloved laptop running Manjaro Linux with VS code open on a random script.
Following you'll see my BEAST tower pc with lovely RGB keyboard and mouse and another random project open.
And I guess that is it. Enjoy1 -
Was installing Arch linux in dual boot with Windows and I fucked up.
Now I can't boot back into Windows. I tried to restore the boot 'thing' and I wasn't able to.
So tomorrow I will have to reinstall every single program I had since Microsoft doesn't make installed softawared recoverable.
P.S. This is the 4th time I try to install Arch without success (had problems with the bootloader, kde and gpu drivers and ended up bricking the os) but I'm still going to try until I get it to work. Why? Because I hate my life.7 -
I finally decided to switch to Linux (I still have Windows for work, but I want to give Linux a try too). I was about to complete the installation (Arch Linux so I was quite tired and stressed cause of fuck ups) when BOOM my fucking phone with the installation guide falls on my laptop's power button and powers it off. Fuuuuuuuuuuuckkkk. I have to do everything again. Shit.4

Hello fellow developers! What was your first program? What language and editor did you use?

I was thinking about installing Linux on my laptop and I was reading about the various distros for beginners and I came across Arch Linux, it seems not to be liked by this comunity. Why is it? What distro would be better?8

Fuckkkkkk I was populating a database and fucking windows updates restarts my pc. Fucking microsoft3

Updated to Windows 10 1803 (April Update) and I noticed a little button appearing near the search box in the task bar. Turns out to be a new feature called Timeline. I open it and it shows some excel files I had opened some weeks before.
That's very coo... HOW THE FUCK DOES IT KNOW WHAT I DID BEFORE I EVEN UPDATED WINDOWS???
Richard Stallman is right..6 -
How to get answers on StackOverflow without getting attacked by ferocious developers:
1) Ask your question before 2012
2) Upload as many details as possible. (Send your entire PC by mail is reccomended)
3) Be as specific as possible. Just repeat your question indefinetly changing the wording a little bit.
4) Don't ask for code examples. If you ask stupid questions it's obvious you are an expert developer and know how to implement stuff... right?
Most importantly respond politely to all of these traditional stackoverflow answers:
"Did you at least google it?"
"You need to be more specific"
"We can't spoon feed you"
"You shouldn't do that thing that way, I personally prefere this way and nobody can change my mind"
"You don't have enough experience to do that thing, don't do it"8
