@Lor-inc I get that. However, we both know that it's also for self-gratification (to some extent), or similar reasons. I do understand that's how most of the Internet is, I just find it hard to relate to those reasons.
Don't get me wrong -- all power to you, for doing what you want to do. I just wanted to point out the underlying reason (evev if it's minimal ones). -
The problem I have with memes is that most people are (re)posting them because they want their life validated (and get their 15 minutes). Are we that gullible as a species? I mean; come on.

This story sounds too good to be true. Could be wrong, though.
-
@PrivateGER Oh. I read the second comment and got confused thinking it was an issue. My bad.
-
I guess if you're on holiday and a thief decides to get a snack without closing, this might be good.
-
Why is this categorized as a joke/meme?

Error 420: not high enough

This analogy makes no sense, whatsoever. I would say git GUI is more like iPhone, while git cli is more like Android. IPhone is nice for the simplicity, but it's also missing a lot of features because of it - just as git cli vs git GUI.

Your packages can be reduced to just one: feathersjs.

@gdb123 I'm not a developer for devRant, so I don't know why you're asking me.
-
@gdb123 That's a stupid argument, and you know it.

@Midnigh-shcode I understand that Electron might be considered "bad," but there are a couple of reasons I chose the current stack:
1. Availability (both in terms of open-source, but also in terms of OS). Even if you only know CSS you'll be able to contribute. The app will also be available as a web-service, so instead of writing code for each OS, it's going to be more easy to maintain if the same code is used for every platform.
2. Vue is "kind of" made for seperating the logic from the frontend (and the like). This will make it easier to maintain, when (and if) the project gets really large. I'm not huge fan of JSX either. I understand there is the argument for React being faster, but I take readability before speed any day of the week (especially if it's going to be open-source).
3. This app is aimed towards developers, so there is going to be an option to make the app target your own server. This will be easier to implement using these technologies.
Thank you for your comment! -
@asgs Thank you for the tip. I'm going to make a documentation first thing tomorrow. :)

I don't get why anybody cares? As in, how can you be that emotionally invested in something? I will never understand any extremists.

@bols59 I was coding at home when we had to evacuate. Apparently, the moped had been there for days (we're guessing it was the owner who noticed that it had been altered), at least according to a neighbor.
The scary thing is that it clearly was meant to do as much damage as possible, since the explosive dough was riddled with shrapnel. We'll see what the police has to say in the upcoming days. -
We finally got to go home, and here's the aftermath.
-
Sweden, a town called Linköping. The police just detonated the bomb. The entire church (where we've been evaluated to) shook, due to the explosion. And this is a relatively calm town, except for this summer. One bomb exploded in town earlier this summer, a bomb threat about a month ago, and now this. Pretty weird shit going down here, lately.

@Stuxnet Okay.
-
@Stuxnet I agree with you. But there are more memes being posted, than actual rants.
-
Know what you mean. It's more "devMeme", than "devRant", nowadays. Also the reason why I don't come on here very often, any longer. It's okay to post a picture/meme (kind of), but it's gotten out of hand.
-
@rosijanni I'm not asking for their definitions, but okay.
-
@lazyDev How do you know the cow was innocent? 🤔

What's even the difference between "design architecture" and "design pattern"?

@toriyuno 🤮
-
@Techno-Wizard So you got baited? Waste of time and energy, is what it sounds like.

Hmm. How can "custom" and "clone" be in the same sentence?
