Got a question for any programmers . Maybe it depends on what version of Windows but Registry Edit for No lock screen option. I believe the desktop where I enabled it was a Windows 10. Would any one know where Windows 11 option would be in the registry. When I created DWORD with disable lock screen. I tested it out and I was still stuck on lock screen

How does someone with. A+ certs and a Network + and Cyber Security certifications and still only getting Help Desk jobs calling them 🤷‍♂️

I may have an opportunity to become a Network/Systems Administrator. I just wanted to know what Salary range I should be targeting. I don't have any Certs but am working towards it. I spent about 1 year and half in IT. Almost a year during Help Desk and currently been a Network Tech tole for about 4 months

Gotta love the Phone guys. Mislabeled their Drops 😩. Had a follow up ticket for junction box replacement. A 2 min jobs took an extra 20 mins all due to phone guys putting the incorrect connector on their wires. Why put a Data Connector on a Phone wire. No wonder the printer wasn't getting the correct IP🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

So I had a printer ticket today at a school. School recently had an IP conversion done and apparently this specific Printer wasn't add to the Network..got the printer added. Confirmed the Drop was activated and made sure Network settings were configured properly with correct IP. Was able to talk to the Printer after pinging the IP and ran test print... Nothing printed out. weirdest thing. Whenever I hit print test page. I noticed the printer would say receiving Data for a quick sec and go away.. after some research found out this printer doesn't take the Basic Generic Driver. Needs to be specific to the Model. . After updating to the right driver. Printer is printing.

II encountered this problem today with a user who couldn't access internet on their own home network or on their company. Everytime they try to access the site. Firewall and Anti-virus settings have blocked the access . Couldn't remote into their PC due to them not being on the domain to setup the VPN client. Reset Browser settings and disabled all Firewall and Anti-virus protocols. User still could not get to any sites..... What did I miss?

Got an interview tomorrow for NOC engineer position . But I currently work in Help Desk Tier 1. Second Shift. This NOC is first shift..... now here's the kicker. I need a second job. Either another full or part. I have 6 years experience at Refrigeration Tech. Which I wanted to leave for IT. I have also a trial day for a Refrigeration company tomorrow as well. First Shift hours as well. So I'm like.... well damn. Do I not go to that job and just hope I get this NOC position . Because Networking is right with where I see myself being

Question Devs... This was a complicated issue earlier. User tried to do an add-in through Microsoft Outlook and received a .net programming error message.

User calls in and they can't install an Add-in through Outlook. But doesn't have the latest OS for Windows. It was downloaded but not installed. Would that cause that issue?

Question. I ran my code and found one of my images rotation out of wack. I had to delete the img file and upload again and then reinsert the file path and ran again. No issues. Any reason why that happen especially since the file path was correct before

Who knew running Fiber Optics cable would be so hard smh. thought this job was gonna be legit. First IT gig but damn. running 250k,500k abd 1000k cables is no joke. I really would like a desk job ugh!!
