Fighting against management is my daily struggle.
I reject the notion that more management, meetings and reports makes me work faster.
Want it done in time?
Stop wasting my time and interrupting me when I'm deep in complex thought. Let me do what's necessary and put in the hours if I have the energy and time.
But you damn better pay me for it.
I do not care for your praise, when I make the impossible happen time and again in days that would take months.
I expect your praise in the form of higher numbers going into my account.

Just fired up my Windows 10 VM and it goes ham... there is nothing installed but office.

Why!?

Seriously. If someone can explain to me why this is necessary, I'd greatly appreciate it!

It's 15 minutes past when I've resumed the VM from suspension now and it's still going on like that and it's slow as fuck.

I don't want this to escalate to an OS war. Tastes are different.

As I was writing this: apparently Office is updating itself by default consuming a shitload of system resources while doing so. This is fucked up...

The company I have a internship at have this beautiful box. Though I recommend Linux. I kind of wanna nab it anyway😍

We had a wifi connectivity issue at work and all this guy had to do was unplug the power cable and plug it back in. Dude left the office to find me to fix the wifi issue since according to him, "he's seen me writing that weird stuff (code) on my computer"... And I'm all like..

We might achieve world peace one day and still won't have agreed over indentation.

Indentation = TAB. Just 1 character (N spaces = N characters = more disk space, duh!). And then each dev can chose their own TAB width (in spaces) in their IDE of choice. Beautiful.

My Aunt works for a company for which I did a website. She shows me a plastic cup with a pretty design and a qr code on it and asks me if I knew anything about that. I declined and she continued to tell me that her boss claims I can connect the qr code to some location on the website. Of course I can't. Now they have 2000 of these things lying around the office with a stock qr code that is invalid
