@WildOrangutan THANK GOD!

Corey Shafer - Python
He describes everything in great Detail, all the way back on what is happening on the back. Which is kinda important imho when working with a high level language like Python.
He covers a lot of basics, but also some more advanced stuff. -
I don't get the thing with business cards... But I like the idea of this one!
-
@10Dev whey - this is awesome!
Thank you a lot for sharing. will update my conf tomorrow and happy to share results as well! -
Awesome
While I do see that it is in fact kinda pointless to spend time to make a desktop look nice ( because in the end you have squares with information in them anyways ) I do enjoy tinkering around with some possibilities in changing looks from time to time.
I would say my setup atm is pretty basic and functional - which is always the thing I end up with over the time :D
But would you be willing to share you conky.conf? I would like to steal some of your style settings :) -
Give it time [:
-
@NinomiyaNexus yes if you use em wrong. You have.to know where you database is stored ( physically ) and know how to get access to it in any case.
I see that this is not an easy thing to do and not obvious for everyone right away.
But there are many solutions out there that work great - even offline in case of an outage or lack of cell service, etc. -
This is so frustrating.
Every time I am telling AND explaining someone to use secure / unique passwords and a password manager, I feel like biting on Granit.
"This is so complicated"
"Do I really need this"
"I don't have nothing to hide"
"'They' already know all about me"
"It is not safe to store all password in one place"
This is so stupid. And all of them are shopping on Amazon, have credit card informations stored in multiple online services and so on.
Behaving like this is literally like leaving the door opened and the key under the mat. It is just a matter of time until someone stepped by and notices it. -
I would start feeding stones to those people ...
-
This is great xD
-
Well ..
It is beneficial for the Cooling :D -
Fake news

That hurts

@vortex I actually do not believe that Google is a happy place where unicorns exist and everything is great. I believe that it might be one of the hardest places to be. In terms of pressure at least...
But I have never been there, neither have I met someone who was.
Would be cool to get to know something about that place :) -
@AvyChanna that sounds interesting. Haven't heard of nnn before. Will have a closer look at it. Thanks (:
-
@C0D4 right ... These are the basics but I would like to use it a bit more convenient.
I work on the cli basically all day and know how to use it, but I don't like to reinvent the wheel. So I thought, maybe there is a solution somewhere already that might help me out. -
I don't get it as well.
I don't even have a desktop... it forces you to order your stuff properly.
I think that the desktop was invented to be used as a quick place to access and drop things. Not to store and archive stuff. -
@drac94 whoosh ... You work at YouTube? :O
-
@12bitfloat probably. But I've seen a couple of awesome budget value option out there. Especially when you are open for an AMD setup...
-
@Userabc He sure would :D and I am the next person taking a dull pick of myself posting it everywhere :D
-
I am wondering if the dude in this meme has the right to claim money for every post of his face ... :D
-
Same old, same old ... :/
-
Still one of the best games ever made.
Kinda excited for AoE4 ... Though -
Seems like there is someone up for a rig update.
CPU. Comes probably with new RAM and most likely a new board.
And don't forget that Win7 will die soon as well... :O -
@Codex404 I do understand that. It is really nice once you get used to it. But I bet it would be possible to get used to something different. But it is hard to force yourself to do that if you not really have to.
-
Holy ... git -tf "outa there"
-
Like I said, I would never trade my 4K Display again. Not even for some more battery life.
But as always, it depends. I am hooked up to the power brick nearly the whole day. So battery life is not that important to me if it is still >6h
Might be different for for you - especially in a few months ;) -
kill -9 `pgrep me`

The double quotes make it sound kinda sarcastic :D
