I started this new freelance project where I am building some android libraries for the client. Anyways, during meeting I was about to present my results and suddenly backend seemed to be down. I looked into the round "are your servers down?"
Team Lead: "Yeah our cto, also our only backend dev, is developing a new feature."
Me: "Okay but why is production down?",
Team Lead: "Ah dont worry we always test on production. We have a pretty solid hardware, we will even upgrade it soon!"
Me:"... How about you just separate your stage environments and have a develop environment?"
Client: "see, this is where our strength is. We dont need a develop stage we have very strong hardware and our backend is fully in PHP"

Thanks God I'm a freelancer

I think Linux is indeed Userfriendly, there are just Users which aren't Computerfriendly.

Finally...

It's 6 a.m. Time to sleep.

Introduce source version control tools from the very beginning.

You know what they say what happen in vegas stay in vegas 😂

What really helps me is knowing electronics, having a solid understanding of maths and experimenting around with computers and hardware in my spare time.

At some point you start to see programming as being more than just "kreating" (as Karlie Kloss would say) an "app".
I see programming as pushing your machine to go beyond its seemingly narrow boundaries.

Exercise and drinking more water whilst laying off the coffee on when not in work.

Playing saxophone and learning music theory helped me a lot. Also reading books and being a scout boy contributed getting my mind away from computers and clearing my ideas, like a reboot or something.

Mistyping one character wrong in a password and hitting backspace until I am sure I’ve deleted the entire Wikipedia.

Then starting all over again.
