Apple Music is the worst music service I've ever used.
By far the worst UI/UX ever.
It doesn't allow me to easily organize my music the way I want.
Search is sluggish.
The recommendation algorithm sucks.
Can't LIKE a song without it asking me to also sync my local music files to the cloud. Seriously, why the fuck can't I like/favorite a song and be done with it? Why does it need to sync with my local files?
This is a basic feature that works in literally on any other music platform.
The damn thing can't even play FLAC.
I know Spotify has its issues, but it actualls feels like a well engineered piece of software.
Apple Music seems like it was made by junior devs for a school science fair.
The only thing going for Apple Music is the sound quality, everything else is bullshit.7 -
Idea for a next gen image compression method:
* Put your image into a reverse AI image generator to get the prompt for that image.
* store the text string as the compressed image
* Put the text string into to AI image generator to get back your compressed image.14 -
- clicks update and shutdown
- goes brush his teeth

Man I love Windows6 -
Imagine you have a car and it runs faster than other cars and needs less gasoline, but due to historical reasons the steering wheel is made of barbed wire, there's 8 different accelerator pedals for different streets, pushing the wrong one may lead to a crash, and instead of a driver's seat there's a huge wooden dildo sticking out of the floor.
This is, in a nutshell, what using the C++ type system feels like.11 -
Last time I was here I was in college. 🤓
Hello world, again 🫂
I graduated and now I have a job as a developer for two years now.
So much ranting has been happening and I'm excited to tell you all about it.
PS: I already had my first canonical event (Prod deployment at 5 pm ... Was not fun ... Wasn't me if you're asking)1 -
“This reminds me of the Warp Train in Library of Ruina. It can travel anywhere within 10 minutes, by jumping through another dimension, but in one incident it seems to malfunction, and doesn't arrive at its destination. The passengers are stuck in warp space, and oddly are in a 'stasis', wherein they don't need food or drink, or need to use the bathroom. It turns out they can't die either, as people start trying to commit suicide after being stuck for weeks. As the weeks turn into months, and then years, the passengers resort to brutalizing each other just to feel something, eventually turning into quivering lumps of flesh through their violence. After 2000 years, the train finally arrives at its destination, 10 minutes later in our universe. The company hits a button, and like loading a savestate, the passengers are returned to normal, none the wiser, with no memories of the 2 millenia of hell they just went through.
The train was never malfunctioning. This happens every single time.”4 -
