How about teaching a little version control? A passing mention of git in 4 years of college. The entire industry uses some form of version control, and all we get is a passing mention of it?

Arduino just Rick Roll'd me. Their buzzer example code plays the tune...so I hooked it up to a photosensor and threw it in a cabinet...next time my wife opens the cabinet, the light flooding in will trigger the song. I have a comfy couch 😂

Finally got an Arduino Uno, for Christmas no less...my Mac doesn't recognize it :(

So at my last job we had an AM deployment and a PM deployment. We had code reviews, QA, a slow roll process (deployed to three servers), monitoring process, and once everything checked out we fast rolled to the other servers.

At my current job we have a QA process, and we deploy once every three weeks.

My first job I deployed as needed, with no QA at all (I was the only web dev there).

I'm currently at a major e-commerce site, my last job was more of a click-bait site (though it still made millions in revenue each year).

So my question is: is there a "normal" as far as deployment schedules? I realize that each business type is going to have their own needs, but what's the "average" time between deployments?

There was a "Snake" game on an old windows machine that came with the source code. I was able to tweak the code enough to add interesting twists to the game. From then on I was hooked.

I did a mashup of Facebook and Google Maps once. It gave you the street view to all your posts that had locations associated with them.
