Some of my colleagues realised that I have a devRant account. Of course they peeped into my smartphone screen when I was reading some weird stuff on devRant. They went on to install devRant and uninstall it the next day after realising that it is not 'Tinder of Developers' :D
if(devRant != Tinder.developers()) uninstall;

Wow..so i decided to try out Swift instead of always writing in ObjC while writing a native module in my React Native project.
I spent a fucking hour trying to figure out how can i write code to get a value from my info.plist in Swift and what i got was a humongous piece of code whereas ObjC does it in one line.
Whats the hype about Swift?!? Its the worst fucking language out there5 -
Thank you osx for deciding to restart, without any fucking warning whatsoever, while I was in the middle of fucking coding. I had a bunch of tabs open, terminal windows, spotify, vs code, etc. I was in a flow. Suddenly all my open programs start closing and I'm thinking "what the fuck, is my laptop crashing???" Nope. I remembered hitting "try again in an hour" on that fucking notification about installing updates or what-not, but in the past that has always meant I'm just reminded again and asked if I want to restart. Not this time... fucking idiot devs at Apple that allowed this shit... fuck you.36

I think I'm not as socially awkward as I once believed. I realize I just have nothing in common with the majority of people.
I don't watch sports, I don't care about cars, or fantasy football, or have any hobbies non-developers would find interesting.
If you want to talk about software patterns, finite automaton, Lua/C APIs, etc, then fuck yeah I'll talk to you all day long.5 -
Don’t you love when you name your commit and push something like “Fixed x, y, and z” but the actual changes are in the unsaved files you forgot to save, so you have to do, “Actually fixed x, y, and z.”18

Interviewer: One last thing, hope you are not married.
She: No, but how is that relevant?
Interviewer: Well because this job involves a lot of traveling you see...
She: Makes sense Sir. Also, I have a lawyer friend, in case you need any help...
Interviewer: What help?
She: Help with filing for your divorce Sir, as this job involves a lot of traveling...5 -
One of the few good things dell ever made are it's monitors.
They must be good. People never fucking throw them away. Back when I did repairs I came across *so* many customers who just stocked monitors away like squirrels preparing for the god damn ice age. Three dell monitors here. Five there. Every where a monitor. Old McDonald had dell farm, E, I, E, I, O.6 -
A girl I used to have a crush on suddenly contacted after 2 years because she still thinks of me as one of her "best friends", and was sorry that she "hurt" me. After a few minutes talking, I knew she just wanted to get her new website done... Go to hell you fucking bitch19

So, I have a coding task that takes several days to complete. How can I pick up the next day where I left off the night before? I find it difficult to get straight back into the flow because I first have to find my way around the previous day's code. Any tips?11

I’m gonna say it. I prefer Nano. Vim is nice and emacs exists but I just feel most comfortable in the hands of my precious Nano.30

For the coming few months, refactoring my entire life. Everything will be redone with modularity in mind. So far it seems to be working well. Once the foundations are stable, I could start focusing further on the development of my Linux distribution. Hopefully that'll be done soon.6

Is it only me or you also feel a bit more powerful when all your devices are fully charged (nearly) and internet works smooth? 🤔5
