That escalated quickly

@netikras would you still take this approach with 100+ servers? Legitimately asking
-
@magicMirror will take a look at all of those, thank you
-
inb4: what do you mean, you people?
-
Solid infographic
I use arch, btw -
@ddephor wait a minute... i think i've been had ...
-
@ddephor Send me a reference, I'd love to read what their baseline for "average" was. if 90% are above average, then technically, close to 90% are average.
Are you at all familiar with averages or normal curves? -
Chances are, if your first priority is to "master code" you will lose interest long before that.
The best programmers usually end up as masters (just using your word, masters are rare, most coders are average) due to how little they care about how "boring" it is
If you do genuinely like it. Ignore the boring and just do it.. best to have a side project / goal in mind though.
Thats what keeps it interesting! -

@endor Np!
Your only options without root is to try wiping dalvik / cache. if that fails, without root, you are left with a factory reset.
There are other potential solutions but none which I could walk you through without a back and forth dialogue while you have the phone within reach/
If you've never rooted before, you've probably never unlocked the bootloader as well. If you plan on going the root route, it's important to know that the moment the bootloader is unlocked, Android will force you to factory reset anyway. -
@endor Ive had APN settings reset on me magically more than once, I'd still check.
If it's for sure a permissions issue, I'd logcat over adb and see if there's any selinux permission messages.. or any other messages for that matter.
"setenforce 0" will set selinux to permissive after which you can try sending again. "setenforce 1" will set back to enforcing. You'll need root -
Haters will say it's fake
-
Try a different ROM
Start with official LineageOS for your model. If it doesn't exist, try the same for CyanogenMod.
If you're on one of those already, you'll have to google and see how common the issue is and potential fixes.
Sometimes the fixes are as simple as "clean install" and "wipe dalvik"
Those are the least painful, "it just works", type options. -
I would ask myself: if you could program anything, what would it be?
Could be specific like CPUs / algorithms, could be broad like NSA tools, which would probably include the former.
You are probably most interested in that, and then I'd expand from there to your affinity for general problem solving.
Disclaimer: no degree -
You shouldn't fear it but you shouldn't ignore it (which would probably be unhealthy longterm).
You could try things like meditation and mindfulness
If you are "free-spirited" you could try psychedelics in small amounts
Also look into "disassociation" if you haven't already. I think it's much more common amongst programmer types than derealization
Good luck! -
@electrineer lold
-
@IAmAnIssue oof, good luck!
-
From gmail.com or is this via some other client?
-
@AleCx04 they probably "asked" (read heard) via the "Okay Google" feature

Start writing small programs for yourself ASAP and google / SO everything you need help with -
Check her APN settings. Her provider should have the default values somewhere online
-
@Override then we go straight to the source, my friend
-
@HisAxelency who hurt you?
-
Because people that do know something about programming are expected to RTFM
-
Welp. Game over.
Was fun guys -
@HisAxelency not necessarily. There's also carbon and nitrogen coming from space
-
@Codex404 CIO's aren't very common, I believe it's one of those new age millennial things
-
@Codex404 Good point. The wiki definition is too broad, one that compares a CTO vs CIO is a little more informative:
