@PublicByte it's like there's an asterisk that marketing forgot to add:
"Will it go faster? No." -
@PublicByte well, today is your lucky day, because can Jira go faster? You bet it can!
-
@PublicByte it is slow, but I'd gotten used to it. It never occurred to me that it could be faster. Reading that question did it though, it shattered my mind and blended my brain. I can no longer think about things the way I did a few scant minutes ago. My life is forever changed, for I have glimpsed into a dimension gojira I had never even conceived I could FASTER imagine, let alone perceive in reality. Can Jira go faster? Can Jira FASTER? Jira, faster? Fast? Jira? Go... Jira?
Gojira?
I'M SORRY
I'm just having a rough day I think -
It is worth the hype tbh. It really is the best way to use WSL and makes multiple terminals much easier to get up with the panes. I use WSL for working on remote machines over SSH and it finally feels like a proper modern interface.

@Ranchu drinking to cope is a bad situation, friend. I've been there, I getcha. *hug*
-
@Ranchu hahah sure
Honestly though, getting drunk alone isn't half bad. I mean, it's better than drinking with people who don't know their limits so you have to watch their drinks and stop em when they've had enough and make and put some coffee in them so they'll manage to get home and all that jazz. -
@Root sober :/
-
@Fionn153 that's a lot of ram

@devios1 there's a relevant xkcd for everything, eh? 😂😂😂

@stimulate yep, cause the street name for vw beetles is "bug"
Also, I used to be into top gear, so maybe it's just me? Idk. Top gear's my source for this. -
If it's an old android, with a decent enough recovery, one could mount the device to PC in recovery mode...
If it's an android.
Edit: Oh wait. iOS. I just read the followup comment. My bad. Sorry. -
Commenting so I can these out check later. XD

@7400 I can't find a proper apk myself, sorry.
I'm using Cyanogenmod, so I got it by default.
You can, however, get google keyboard (not Gboard), late 2016 version, from apkmirror. It's a bit more feature-filled than aosp, but FAPP it's the same keyboard. -
Try the aosp keyboard. You won't have a separate numbers row, but its good.

Guake : a HUD-like terminal that drops from the top when needed, Quake style. Very handy. Just apt install it.

Wow
-
@purpletoxicrain what do you do now?
-
@darksideplease That's tremendously helpful, thank you. I'm actually a student right now, and most of my actual team work comes from the projects and so on that we do, so I'm not worried about HR yet. I'll keep your advice in mind though. Thanks again! :)
-
@darksideplease would you mind elaborating on that a bit?
-
Hahahahahahahaah!
-
@iguana I honestly didn't know it was posted before. My bad.
