@tosensei so... i really appreciate your use of umlaut. I've been fluent in german over 13yrs but i just kept re-reading his message like 'wzf?' Trying to figure out what he meant.

I could blame it on one or more of several potentially valid, true, things... like, ive been up too long/exhausted, know too many languages, am blonde, likely have a pseudo tumor effecting my cognition during asymptomatic migraine episodes... or even that i only found out about a plausible pseudo tumor yesterday...

But, given my occasionally extreme cluelessness in odd situations*, i think "blonde" is the closest to a valid excuse.

* found out why some family called me "sara beth" as a kid, when i was 16 and my friend who didnt know about that saw my driver's liscense and called me sara beth...i was shocked, how?... she pointed out that my middle name is elizabeth...

@awesomeest i have them on my keyboard, so why not use them where appropriate?

@tosensei i have them on my phone keyboard on 1 dev (i have many devices i simultaneously use) and my physical keyboards are physically usa standard but i tend to run a slightly modified version of windows english-international so a double quote then vowel gives me umlauts... drives me nuts when there's some glitch that changes my umlaut ability... its happened several time while remote accessing the rhel server that im typically a few feet away from. Idk what exactly triggers it but last yr it drove me so nuts that i restarted my laptop like a true dumbass... i had made some very manual changes to files/locations outside of windows knowing about it... knew i had to update the page file before restarting but procrastinated... then lack of umlauts... i ended up meeting the dude from the 1 computer repair shop im aware of by me, dec 26th, for a windows install/winre disk... there's no rufus on linux servers and my usb 2.0 wasnt valid for bs win10 reasons.

@tosensei I've done some remarkably knowledgeable, dumbass shit... but I've learned a lot of practically questionable skills in the process... ever need to manually bootload a broken windows os from grub? Just ask, im extremely skilled at that.
