Running Ubuntu with Gnome at work (cause fuck using a good WM). Who was the asshole that thought it was a good idea to make scroll bars thin as a default?

@Demolishun why not use touch pad to scroll, or mous wheel? just two fingers up and down on touch pad, and you will never touch a scroll bar again

Elaborating. They had their moment to shine, as in, being the friendly Linux, by virtue of being debian unstable but having enough community to solve those.

@joewilliams007 touchpad?! Get off my lawn! I really do hate touchpads though. I do use scroll on mouse. However, sometimes I need a bar and they try to make it 1mm wide.

@CoreFusionX id say snap (and by extension flatpak) are just solutions to a problem that exists in the realm of linux distros. I don't see how this is a problem.

It is a problem from the moment it does shit on your computer without your explicit informed consent.

Some boxes can't afford to have a random update from snap breaking things.

Don't care about the debate but I'm forced to use Ubuntu with all the outdated shit and snaps. Snaps are more recent but almost always fuck something up like not being able to share Wayland screens or wrong windows version if wine is required. Can't get gcloud plugins so good luck connecting to GKE.

Don't have those issues on Arch or Nix. Just gets shit done.
