    I'm usually say no. I think perhaps breaking it worse than it was before or basically just wiping it and putting gentoo Linux on it (deliberately) so that it becomes almost useless to the user.

    Not only will they never ask you again, they'll tell everyone to not ask you for help...

    I'm studying to become a computer science engineer and I used to work in a computer repair shop. No escape.

    I think my family encouraged me to study CS so I can fix family computers. And printers. And phones. And routers. And set up the network for family friends. And create a useful Excel spreadsheet.

    @nmunro Been there, done that! But seriously it was a lot of fun. I wiped the guy's drive clean with Darik's boot and nuke and then installed FreeDOS!
