@koolkobra I'm offended by things being made inoffensive. I think I might be a special snowflake! :(
-
@koolkobra What kind of triggers warnings do they give? Do you have any examples? Just interested on some day to day example. Obviously you hear about the most outrageous ones on social media---but what's the day to day reality?
-
Probably needs to start appearing in source code headers.
"Warning: May contain unrefactored snippets of PHP" -
@platypus Haha no need in PHP files. The file extension *.php already tells me that. 🤣
-
Fuck 'em. People that get triggered easily have too much time to look at others because they themselves can't or haven't accomplished anything.
-
Sometimes I forget these people exist. They remind me they do exist in a bit of an uncomfortable way.
-
karelian3686yKeep on triggering those snowflakes.
If it's genuine outrage it'll cause an increase in blood pressure, which will lead to bad cardiovascular health.
Fast forward and eventually snowflakes will be out of the gene pool.
How cool is that? -
The worst things in pampering the students at the university is that even after studies, these maggots are still the entitled spoiled little children. Stacking shit 5-6 feet high and giving it a fucking degree does not make them adults.
And then these scumbags run around, no fucking "safe space" you idiots in real life, and nobody cares about you special snowflakes. If you're lucky, your boss will just pour sulphur over you and light a match, and if you're unlucky, you run into @rutee07 before your boss has had the chance to rip off your head and shit down your fucking neck.
Guess what dumb minded mouldheads, then it's not studies anymore where you can put your thumb into your asshole and make your usual stupid face that makes people question why your fucking parents chose to raise the afterbirth, then it's fuck triggers! -
@rutee07 we on DR are ahead of time.. guess on Monday, it will become common knowledge among your co-workers as per your current rant. ^^

This thread makes me very happy.
As a believer of "fuck your feelings," this is entertainment.
@Fast-Nop For the most part, (based on my experiences) I'd say 90% of students are normal and don't actually give a shit or need trigger warnings, but we tend to let minorities make more noise and give them the most attention. -
@jAsE *fuck stupid sensitive people.
90% of my friends are in the millennial category and we all run around saying offensive shit.
(Yeah I get that I surround myself with people like me, but there is a variety. There's genuinely not as many sensitive cunts as it's made to seem, but we're at the small groups get the most attention)

Marketing wants to remove the word "sex" from one of my slide decks.
Fuck people who get outraged for others. They are making a bad situation much worse.
Yes, there are people who get triggered by the slightest thing---but those people are going to be triggered no matter what you do. And it seems to me that I'd not want to have them as customers anyway---massive support cost.
We are in danger of washing everything until it becomes an inoffensive shade of beige.
Why do the 99% have to be bored for the 1%?
It's not like I'm doing a live demo...yet...
So, fuck outrage by proxy. If you are personally outraged then say that. If not, shut the fuck up.
