retoor6133dDon't know how to get motivation, it's just there.
I am currently working on a webdav implementation that I first have written with Python but weird enough does not come above 40mb/s, even when i stripped out auth / database and implemented caching. Now, I'm converting it to C with mongoose and cjson and sqlite. That was the plan from the beginning, but i tried to get everything right in python first, so that would be ok in C too automatically. Just case of good preparation. So, even with AI, still a bunch of work. -
Tounai16083dPreparing Halloween costume and I guess work on a random project since the Halloween costume ate the whole “fun” budget for this month.
-
The same way I spend it every other time - relaxing... but also making pancakes... It's been a while since I've eaten them last. Toppings include maple syrup, cheesecake filling, poppy seed filling, marmalade.
Depends on the 'thing'. Usually time. I spend enough time away from that thing, the motivation appears. -
@jestdotty It's almost like dopamine is key factor in motivation ;P Hope you're having a great weekend.
So far I've setup a rack and then do some java/spring -
Ah and to answer the question, depends, sometimes spite, curiosity or wish not to wonder too much what the abyss is like...

Tounai16081d@sandeepbalan basically Dracula from castlevania (which I’ve never seen, but I don’t even decide of my Halloween costumes anymore apparently)
-
@retoor 8 years into the IT field, and this is my first time hearing about WEBDAV. #MoreYouKnow Thank you!

@jestdotty Sometimes i make myself doing hard stuffs to prevent high dopamine release. . But sometimes i feel down and look out for instant gratification for sudden dopamine
-
jestdotty647810h@sandeepbalan wanting and not getting also increases dopamine fyi. it's what causes addictive behaviours
it's just released in different parts of brain, whether it's want or satisfaction of reward. satisfaction of reward then makes you smarter though and increases your time preference (you'll be more patient in the future)
//random Ted talk because I've been researching, sigh
