Jesus titty fucking Christ people are stupid. I hate everyone in the software development lifecycle that isn’t a developer or isn’t technically minded. Everyone else seems to be a fucking goofy arse mother fucker.

I just got in trouble because I fixed a defect that never should have been fixed, even though in yesterdays standup they brought it up and asked me what the status of it was. Apparently I was just supposed to estimate the defect and see how long it would take to fix. Why the fuck wouldn’t we do that in a grooming session or a sprint planning session, you are just begging to confuse the devs. Absolute mud sharks.

    Just revert it and note how long you spent on it 😂🫡

    @lotd Yeah man. 10 second fix. Revert the PR. But nooooo, we have to make it a bigger issue than it is.

    @whiskey0 sprint points fuckery? 😂

    @whiskey0 I feel you on this. Once, I was yelled at for half an hour for a broken feature that I fixed in 2 minutes.

    I guess people will never understand that yelling and screaming has never gotten a problem solved in the IT industry.

    I am especially fond of people that complain about something not being done while knowing full well you're working on it. Do they think you will "code faster" if they yell at you?

    Honestly, if they did the opposite - assign you to fix something in Shirt time *without* asking for your estimation - you would rant wo go wha wha stupid clueless mgmt wanta me to fix stuff in two minutes while it take twenty days how dare they to estimate time for the task w/o asking me. No. It's your Job to give them an idea of how long it will might and their if it should be done yet.

    What's a mud shark in context?

    @Sid2006 I'm so amazed at these workplaces where people actually yell at one another. Boggles my mind, can't imagine it. Very happy for that, I guess.
