take your fucking feelings out of the equation

AND GET OVER IT

feelings don't get market share, features built, or any growth

so shut the hell up and grow up

AND DO YOUR DAMN JOB

you'll be proud devRant, I've finally decided to leave these clowns. updates to come...

only sad part is my rage posting will likely drop to very low levels, but i guess my own well being is a bit more important than devRant karma :) 🤷‍♂️

What will you put in your CV? I suggest something like "Worked as Chief Clown Officer at a circus"

Do leave them a playlist of the album Circus of Doom. 😜

For real now, good that you decided to quit that shit hole. I went through a similar situation recently, and believe me, quitting was the best thing I could do.

@cafecortado i expect doing this would immediately get me an interview at nearly any company, based on my track record of what i've seen essentially everywhere

I mostly agree with this, but at the same time: I recently heard an 2 old colleague's farewell speech about what they valued most over their long careers and the best teams and products they worked with and they said they "The best teams and products you look back fondly on are those where you did good work AND had fun. The people got along and knew which hill to die on. The stuff I wanna forget is those heated arguments that ruined the experience - over some minor feature that in the end didn't really matter"

Allthough this assumes there's a pretty high bar of people doing their job to begin with. Of course don't agree with people floating around not doing their jobs at all.
