This is the first attempt to use chatgpt that actually replicated
I had it spit out propaganda about linq to sql being superior to ado.net
Then I had it spit in out a comparison between the two where it reversed itself and proclaimed linq to sql less performant than ado.net -
This is amazing.
I've tried using chatGPT as a personal assistant the past few days, but I've arrived at my conclusion:
It's the equivalent of a clueless intern at worst, and a mediocre junior at best (in terms of doing programming stuff, makes a lot of mistakes, even simple syntax errors). Maybe GPT4 will finally get there. -
@fullstackclown note it doesn't always work great
And honestly alot of it seems templated somehow. -
@hardCoding yeah, and then it usually works. but i don't want to have to do this every time to get a code snippet... idk, i'm still learning how to work with it

@AvatarOfKaine That practice is actually an essential tenet of learning good debating skills. You have to be able to argue your opposition’s points and win in order to really be good at debate. I’d say ChatGPT has evolved past post-post-modern humanity in that regard. All we ever do is spew out our confirmation biases and never attempt to see the other side of something.

Prediction: Point 1 will soon be a new TED Talk about productivity. Point 2 will become a new health fad. Points 3 and 4 will become the key planks in the Democrat party platform.

@AlgoRythm sounds more like people suggesting that stealing peoples lives and inducing amnesia via trauma is good for their sense of variety.
