So I finally decided to get a theme for sublime (And other packages). I'm loving it. Post your IDE/Text editors or whatever you use to code.

    //todo: post screenshot of Webstorm w/Darcula and DejaVu.

    Someone might have my back? At the minute I'm not on my laptop.

    atom using darkone theme.

    and no this isn’t my code, just the largest legacy file i could find for a legacy site i worked on.

    @C0D4 I think that's the biggest if statement I've ever seen

    Notepad. Or notepad++

    Or when i feel like a man in the darkness, vim

    Or when i want to look cool, emacs or edit.com

    i know right, and all it returns is true if for some bizarre reason any of those preg_match’s hit.

    i was never brave enough to refactor that thing.

    @CozyPlanes I agree! Notepad ftw!! 🤜🤛

    @jhh2450 but, but they will make notepad deprecated too on future.

    @yohohoho Shhhh. Don't rush it; the dark times are far away

    I just started to use VSCode 2 weeks ago and I'm in love with it.

    I wonder why people don't like notepad.

    1. Minimalistic
    2. Lightweight
    3. Fast
    4. Easy to use
    5. Cross-compatibility

    @CozyPlanes
    it’s missing a dark theme.

    @C0D4 ummm

    I use different IDE/Editor for different languages:
    .NET - Visual Studio 2017
    .NET Core & HTML/CSS/JS - Visual Studio Code
    Bash - Notepad
    Powershell - the shitty IDE that comes with it (I forgot the name)
    Node.js - Atom

    Atom with atom-material-ui and chester-atom-syntax

    Atom with dark one on i3 :)

    @jmacmi2 you should try the FiraCode font with ligatures enabled. It's embedded in Intellij and you will love it! (don't forget the checkbox for the ligatures)

    Why on earth would you use notepad over Sublime Text?

    @M3PHISTOS what is your main programming language - want to try out the font you mentioned. I am working for the most of my time with Java. Do you still think it would be worth to switch to it?
  • 0
    Java and javascript (Angular). It will be an improvement whatever the language :-)

    There are packages for Sublime text? Thank you sir for showing this to me. I always thought sublime needs an explorer as you have.

    Atom with material UI, solarized dark syntax highlighting, and bitstream vera sans mono font, which is literally the best font for coding, I set most of my stuff to that
  • 1
    @Tasperen which theme and packages do you applied to sublime text to make it appear like that?
  • 1
    @SmartCoder either of them but I'm using palenight at the moment

    @M3PHISTOS thanks for the tip, I'll give it a look asap.

    @Inigo fuh-reeeeeee. But yeah I wouldn't notepad over sublime either, that is insane.

    @Bender thanks! Due to unforeseen circumstances I won't be on my laptop for a while, I'll set a reminder for when I open it.
