Try this with Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise. In the meantime I went shopping, cooked lunch, ate and walked with my dog. 64% of the installation completed.

Well, I recently installed Linux mint beside windows. Wanted to clean up my windows installation to repartition the disk...but now Im here😅

Visual Studio isn't just the ide, it also has all the tools, C++, linkers..etc. and more if you installed them. Also Visual Studio itself is pretty big.

@tracktraps it never takes half a day. Express the factors properly and you'll see how everything makes sense. Be reasonable.

I remember one time I installed vs17, my somewhat slow internet made the install last literally 24 hours. Wasn't at home and had RDP setup to periodically check 👌

@AndSoWeCode I takes way too long. Even on my i7 4790k oc'd to 5ghz, 16gb ram and GTX 1080 PC with an SSD it takes > 30 min.

@Bl4ckGhost2753 Why don't you just go away from Windows and take Linux (Arch Linux, of course @linuxxx). Visual Studio runs excellent with Virtual Box, also in seamless mode.

Then you always have a clean system without garbage on your hdd/ssd.

VS is kinda big, in every sense of the word.

I mean I've installed it and deleted it many times. AT MOST I had to wait for like 30 minutes for it to install, but that was ... REALLY a potato PC, WAY too old for what it was doing.

And even updating is slow and crappy.

How should be believe it's 45 min not 2 mins ?
