If you don't like Rust, I don't know what your problem is. I really don't have any pain points with Rust, and it's only given me good things. Rust. Is. Amazing.

There are many things wrong with it, every language has problems
If you fail to see that then you either don't know it well enough or are just an ignorant fanboy

And r-word-lang has the most obnoxious community and foundation I've ever seen

@electrineer i was actually non-jokingly considering writing a c compiler in rust. it should be C2x-compliant. nothing can stop us rustaceans.

@devRancid the foundation is umm... questionable... but the community is great.

Everybody rustacean till Apple ships JS-specific hardware cores in Apple Silicon. The whole world follows suit because of course they are, and suddenly, JS gets faster than Rust. Bun runtime for JS already beats Rust in certain tasks

Rust as a language is fine, but I haven't found a use case for it to write shippable production code when comparing it to the alternatives. Woe the junior who has to fix an api made in rust 8 years ago because the new VMs can't run it after updating the CICD makefile.

Rust project is bunch of virtue signallers with that bullshit code of conduct. Politicized monkeys that prefer virtue signalling over providing a good language.
