I don't understand those people... Somebody has access to your Laptop and the only thing you worry about is the cam? They could literally see everything you do and write online... While with the cam they just see me sitting there (worst case nude or jacking...) .

Locked Firmware, Bios, drivers, Hidden x86 instructions, SystemD and I can go on and on how you lost the game a long time ago

It's strange that people here actually believe they can outsmart the NSA.

If the NSA targets you, specifically, you've lost. The thing is that they are not interested in you specifically, so just use standard tools and protocols and you're on the safe side. They will gather data about you, but they won't have any interest in it.

Taking extreme precautions does little more than putting you on their (and others') radar. And then you'll lose because they are both smart and resourceful, while you (and me) are neither - in comparison.

The same people telling me this now had zero interest in protecting privacy before, and actively pushed everyone to use Google/et. al. because "it's so convenient."
