“Yeah, the database password has to be ‘password’ or the code won’t work”
—My PM
Note: I don’t actually believe this to be good advice.1 -
I'm at work coding at 21:00 on a Friday cause money, no life ya know, but then it hit me. I could be at home on coding on a Friday night and still I would have no money and no life but o would have ALCOHOL! Ballmer peak here I come!
Ps I haven't drank in 6 days and I don't drink to excess (often). I just find it enjoyable2 -
When a client (that I’m building an admin dashboard for) calls me in a panic and tells me all their servers are down and asks me to fix them.
Of course I don’t even have access to their DevOps stuff, but I get access from them, log on, and...
Fix the issue in 2 minutes!
You know, because I’m a baller and I do baller shit.

What do people here use for blogging and hosting? Everything I can find from searching suggests self-hosted Wordpress, but I am cautious because of its reputation in the dev world and since all the guides I have found so far are directed at non-coders. Thanks in advance for any opinions 😊8

well I was going to go with the Baller peak but it seems more than a few people beat me to it.
for me I like to step away for a quick game of pool, it allows me to temporarily disconnect from the issue by physically doing something else whilst I play and talk it over. sometimes by myself and other times with a colleague but it usually does the trick. -
Save enough from my current job to give me the buffer to go solo;
and it’s a cliche, but hopefully be making games
