I go to unlock my car, but the button I usually use is gone. Instead now it unlocks by long-pressing the car handle.

Why can't I shift? Oh the stick is a hamburger button now, weird. Um, and reverse is in a sub-menu? That's going to get annoying.

Alright just need to look in the mirror to see if.. wtf? You call this "responsive" or something? I can't see out that tiny window.

Last night I met up with some old colleagues for food and drinks to have a catchup. Things have been stressful in work, was great to get out and have a bit of a rant and just relax ... until I saw the menu.

Hamburger:
xyz dressing / sauce, crispy onions ... and cheddar cheese.

That sir, is a fucking cheese burger, and just piss poor documentation. How have you managed to stay in business with such misleading information and false advertisements in your menu.

On our Android tablet app, we had to have the hamburger menu on the bottom right corner (normal top left). It sorta became the floating action button...

I just spent way way too long trying to get my Bootstrap navbar to not be a giant ugly grey block.

And somehow I've set my website to shrink on mobile devices, so all that fussing over a hamburger menu... bloody pointless.

The 'hamburger menu' is now like, and industry standard for basic UX everywhere.
Am I the only one who feels that it in its entirety, sucks?
the way iPhone implements its commands on the bottom or the way windows used to (before it gave in to hamburgers in UWP) implement charms was a way more efficient and elegant way to show commands..
I cant think of a better way without sacrificing screen space, but this for sure isn't the best way to handle commands.

oh my, this guy was a serious joke. This was 3 years ago at a company I just joined and this guy should have had more than 10 years of experience.

He was a frontend developer and I had to explain to him how to create a hamburger slide-out menu with jQuery.

He got laid off a couple of months later and now his title holds "senior" developer... I feel sorry for his colleagues that have to deal with his stupidity every day now

My CSS-only hamburger menu.
It's cool and all, just a few lines of code, but some days ago I tried to do a 2 sides hamburger menu.
Based on that I just copied it and changed every left for right. Worked. Like. A. Charm. I had to apply some z-index stuff of course but nothing out of ordinary.
I'm so cool. I'll upload it to GitHub ASAP, but it's not a priority rn.

Friends asked me to help him fix a few bugs on a website, i have seen some interesting things in my day, but if I ever met the dev who built this site, throwing him off the empire state building would be a kindness.

For some unknown effing reason, this blithering moron thought it a good idea that the logo only appears when the users are logged in, not only that, but touching the hamburger menu button ALSO only works if logged in, at least the twat waddle could have hidden it way, but no, just makes it non-functional.

Just received an email from a company i applied while searching for a new job. They sended me this little assigment to show my skills since they had the feeling i couldnt show them much.

(they browsed through 3 of my websites while i was there, including a check on the code)

It was a simple layout assigment. Just a responsive page with a hamburger menu (also mentioned during this interview)

It took me a couple of hours to create it and ive send it back in the hope of some positive feedback.

Feedback: assignment was pretty good but it show a lack of php experience. I was clearly more on the .NET side.
