@cprn I am aware. And they matched the tree-trunk-branch metaphors like git could have done in the first place. I had the pleasure to use SVN in production. Dated software needs to be in a dated vcs, doesn't it? 😅
-
I like WordPress for going trunk as it better matches the branching metaphor. But that's it. The rest is just just more hassle.
-
@Qaldim you mean back in the days when it was justintv? That is more than a decade ago. Time flies...
-
Aww Yeah.
i += 1 and i =+ 1 -
@Parzi uploading apps to it is not new to me but the music thing is. Thanks for the links of apps with music support. I'll check that out when that adapter is delivered
-
@Parzi I am up to test that. Feels so unreal
-
I have a TI-84+. This thing can play audio?!

Looks like lots of small Problems solved in the same database or someone took normalization to the next level

I dislike PHP due to its mixed typing politics, weird operators, no operator overloading and performance issues. Start a process per request (have fpm or similar to "boost" loading time). Urgh. I rather compile once and have a runtime more often.
But it works and therefore I make my money with it... -
@bosi oh boi. Sounds like
> A typo in my code?
> Better fix it right away
> Fixes typo in namespace
> Increase patch level, was just a typo -
Fastest when talking about time to first byte. Checking other criteria I tend to not rank localhost first.

The tickets created by the PM are out of a well constructed offer the customer signed (29 pages of who is expected to do what and milestones etc.). This works really good for us as we always can refer to the offer and only do what is discussed there. Everything else is in addition and creates costs.
We had to extract additional tasks out of the comments in the first place. -
We switched from Teams to Stride as some of us made good experience with HipChat. But Stride has so many little icky problems. The main upfuck is the different markup. Again something unique again at Atlassian.
It might feel better to use Slack/yet another messaging web app instead of Stride. -
Although PHP was influenced a lot by C, PHP and C++ hugely drift apart in their history.
I am still waiting for generics/template classes and different container implementations in PHP -
@xonya I did not know it was already a reported bug :O
I recognized this behaviour in an other SOAP project https://devrant.com/rants/1489167 -
Are you running Java? Sounds like an ant project.
-
@Dave-Elec the searchbar is called omnibar in OPs post, isn't it?
-
Are you from a scandinavian country? Than you can name him anything suffixed with son.

++Hetzner. Hosting there as reseller. No uptime issues so far. Running cloud linux. Have a look at cagefs to separate user space.
-
@hexc you right. I could run Payday, Warcraft 3, Heroes of MM5, L4D, Call of Duty 4 and Battlefield with Wine. Easily with Play On Linux.
Worms games were unable to setup a network connection. Age of Empires 2 renders unit models completely black. When steam overlay is enabled when using wine steam any input results in game crash.
It can work out of the box, sometimes just a new wine prefix with a specific dll mapping, sometimes a small thing bugs you and sometimes winehq just says the game is platinum on your platform but it just dont launch.
The only game that went better on my old machine with wine than native in Win XP was Warcraft 3.
Games that were released for Linux are fine so far.
@jespersh no dont be that. If it works on your machine you cannot make it run on others. -
I am running Ubuntu 18.04 on Ryzen 5 and a GTX 1050 Ti with nvidia-390 driver. Works smooth. CSGO ranges from 130 to 220 fps. No issues so far.

If OSI layer 8 can customize the routes, yes.
Otherwise no. -
@amitgupta I will check that change out
-
@amitgupta I give it a try https://bitbucket.org/JoshuaBehrens...
Looking forward to the object closing character. -
@qdsp13 PowerPoint is a turing machine
Here is a talk to this topic
https://youtu.be/uNjxe8ShM-8 -
@j4cobgarby if I implement it I would implement string - tree conversion for std container, boost ptree and maybe Poco container.
-
@amitgupta I will lookup the routines in the npm package and see what is transferable to c++/C#. If all language implementations share the same structure you only need one documentation but this will not work due to different language features.
Any ways we can talk about your restructuring? -
I will fiddle a bit c++ and nimn. I will notify you if I have something publishable.
-
I feel with you https://devrant.com/rants/1461785/

@stackler clean tuxedo with Ubuntu 18.04. Copied ~/.thunderbird to my new home directory. Opened Thunderbird and boom!
