This is response I got from my ex tech lead in a company that I left six months ago..
Btw account is registered on my private email and has admin access to Slack full of confidential files.
Don't even know why I worked there..13 -
I would really like to know the backstory on why Boeing just completely skipped integration testing on a craft designed to carry humans to the ISS. This seems particularly egregious and is an indicator of just how comfortable companies get when they’ve entrenched themselves with government largesse. https://orlandosentinel.com/space/...5

I hate how some recruiters treat you.
I get it - I'm not your client, the person hiring me is. I get it - at the end of the day I'm just a big bag of money in your eyes.
But at least treat me like a person. I may have a family I need to take care of and the carrot you're dangling in front of me may mean the difference between me living comfortably and me being homeless. So after an interview even if it didn't go well let me know. DON'T avoid my phone calls or emails because you don't want to deal with breaking the news to me and instead hope you just never hear from me again.2 -
When you dont pay a dev and they go out of their way to screw your political ambition. This is a site of one of the presidential hopeful in our country. Haha2

Oh my dear DevRant, please add code-formatting standards & check-style validation on submitted code snippets, because the wrong indentations of code snippet posts on DevRant is driving me crazy, check-style ftw!2

Does anyone actually know css off by heart or would your webpage look like diarrhea if stackoverflow was down for the day14

Does anyone else ever get the feeling that it'd be easier to teach everyone in their company SQL than make an internal app?2

when you spend more time in JIRA explaining the client that their bug is not a bug but misconfiguration on their side than actual programming. :-/
error between chair and keyboard.1 -
So, in my spare time I run a little helper business that teaches children/teenagers how to program.
Theres a new kid that's been coming for around about a month, and I swear the kid is a programming deity.
He picked programming and more importantly developing remarkably quickly.
Long story short, I paid for him to go to a Hackathon in LA and he now has more business contacts than me.19 -
Whenever I take a break from my editor, I end up pressing j and k to scroll up and down in be browser, only to be disappointed. Looks like someone at FB was having the same problem and added it to their newsfeed. Thanks bud!1

So this JUST happened.
I do what I've been doing since its release, that is go through devRant in my spare time.
My girlfriend is right here working on her project and notices me looking intently into my phone, unaware of what I'm up to and literally snatches my phone asking me which girl i was messaging and checks it to see devRant open! The look on her face after that was priceless :D
EVEN NOW as I type this Rant she looked at me and asked "Who is that you're messaging? Your 'girlfriend'?" xD
God bless devRant xD2 -
So we decided to adopt Scrum where in manager(scrum master) picks the stories for dev, changes them during sprint and also decides the complexity of task. so much for a servant leader!!3

I know change is hard. I know time is precious. But if you're not using ES6 now, you're getting left behind.4
