Congrats and Welcome to the Family :)
-
True, but based in the opensource Part of Android with own Firmware and they do not own network hardware section that pissed Cisco :)
-
Just brought back a Huawei phone i bought 5 days before the shit started, no matter if there are workarounds. It makes it a no-future device and in my opinion just lost value as it lost parts of the ecosystem it is designed for. Went for OnePlus as it seems a solid option, small enough to not fear the shit out of US economists pissed about 5G and local market shares.

+1 for Org-mode synced via nextcloud, orgzly on private Android phone and boerg on work iPhone. Never ending construction site but I love it. Folded pocketmod paper and a pen always with me, is often faster

Which game was supposed to train them to use their brain?

Replaced mpd with mopidy as it has a Spotify connector. Now I have Spotify as a native music library in ncmpcpp with Playlists, search within Spotify and so on. And with the build in visualizer it is both, intuitive and beautiful without touching the native Spotify client anymore.

Congrats!

Did you reset smc and p-ram? This often fixes a lot different problems, like fans, ports, battery issues

Berlin is wo ick wohne :) at least at work in Mitte we have some gig lines so no problem with speed there, in Pankow we created our small Freifunk community long time ago and shared one DSL line with 20 people via small self build antennas years ago. Slowly, but I can see progress within the infrastructure, wow I can have my very own circuit now :) You are right we are far behind any other country, partly caused by the transition from governmental owned to private company owned infrastructure but believe me, a Google campus in Kreuzberg is not a Game changer and even when they settle down it will not fix these problems. Ah and I am paying with cash as much as I can, not another profile to read/sell the food prints of my life by my bank.

Shit I am little drunk but hoping you got my intention :)

I had been in similar depression when being in my late 20s. 10 years later I can give one advice for sure. If you don't get out of it sooner, you may end up in a situation where you try to jump back like Marty McFly to do better cause you are lost in responsibilities. As long as you are on your own, go fuckin create your life. Once you have children, your path is creating the best road for them. I often could hit myself for being shy or lazy in the few years (20th - 30th) I missed to rule my world :)... Don't forget you only have approx. 70 years so don't waste a single on of them. By the way I love how you car about each other here.

Anyone got sound working on newer 2017+ macbooks? Most of the described issues ran out of the box, only thing I found 4 month ago was that internal sound was not fixed yet so I gave it back.
-
@Sefie thanks for that recoms! I am German so they fit even better :) will give some of them a try.
-
Your top5 podcasts are? Any recommendations?
-
Only thing you realize in the mid 30s is that you loose the 'pop' if you are not skating regularly anymore :) Got more into cruising after that enlightenment, hehe.

Posting about successfully following common YouTube videos
while asking how to sniff a car remote in other rants.
With this attitude I think you :
1. are in the wrong community
2. have no respect for property of others
3. are on the wrong path anyway and should watch your Karma :) -
Ansible playbooks are way less overblown and less extra work for the automation part. Coming from puppet I don't go back :)
-
Good to see more people meeting in RL havin a good time.
Awesome community! -
You got the typo .
Was talking about lighting of course but as you speak i am considering to add some lightning traps as well. -
Hehe, seems your admin is doing a good job :)

As promised, the printer was an Prusa mk3 ( https://shop.prusa3d.com/en/search/...= ) with silver Prusa filament. Details and clean prints are really awesome and it's really intelligent beast! Comparing to the makerbot I am learning to print "the hard way" on my device.
-
@Navigatr but can a duck make the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs?
It is 19x14x3-4 cm and I actually printed it with a colleagues more professional printer as my makerbot clone was not able to produce acceptable prints. Will ask him for the exact type of the printer and let you know. -
Had this issue some month ago, after trying a lot of the mentioned I ended up with enpass as can host the file via WebDAV myself. Bitwarden is also quite nice if you want to store in someone else cloud , but that was no option for me

For stability definitely Debian based
For bleeding edge and non productive arch or manjaro if you are a beginner is fine.
I mostly don’t care about the distro,
After bringing back my dot files and i3 thy all look and behave almost the same anyway :) -
It's a great WM but it's annoying that it does not save window / terminal setup of a session so I need tmux again :( but any tiling wm is boosting productivity of people that know how to use a keyboard :) So have fun with it. Will check the herbs wm when I find some time.

In love now, true art :)

Have fun!

Brew - With brew you get most of the cli tools you could miss from Linux and can avoid almost any proprietary stuff they want way to much money for :) zsh and tmux
Alfred - spotlight on steroids with powerful extensions
Forklift - norton commander like file explorer cause finder is the worst software ever
Iterm2 - not sure if there are better terminals, but it was fine when I had to use OSX
FileZilla - standard ftp client
There are lot of articles about a Dev environment on OSX, just duckduck it :) -
Following this chart on 4.5" screen I installed arch on a MacBook. Think I misunderstood something so I installed a VM with OSX to start from scratch.
