kiki34946327dYou don't have to, my friend. No one really needs them. They are thought to be useful because of cargo-cult (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...), which is perpetrated by fear. Unit tests are the lucky talisman that if you wear, you'll be fine. But deep down, we all know the truth, some people are just way too scared and peer-pressured to say it aloud.

lungdart3362327d@kiki acceptance and behaviour tests are where it's really at.
Unit tests are great for TDD to ensure they function properly, and help with debugging during refactors.
