I just passed OSCP! I tried harder!

Freshman at college watch me using vim and say I'm a masochist, always laughed it off...but after paying for the PWK OSCP course today, I think they may be right.

Hell and below here I come.

Lately nothing compares to the excitement and happiness of executing my first successful buffer overflow.

As some 6 of you might know from my previous post I was gonna start with my OSCP course. Well, I didn't.

I thought maybe I needed some more practice before I do, and I joined this wonderful platform called HackTheBox (hackthebox.eu)

It's a really amazing place to test a lot of your skills in pentesting. You practice on various machines, each having it's own challenge different from another, it really helps in thinking differently and learning while you move forward.

I'd really like to recommend it to anyone who is interested in it! :)

How did you learn cyber security, especially pentesting ?

I know that making VM lab and/or doing CTFs and reading writeups can help a lot, but is there any more "formal" way to get into things like pentesting etc. ?

(Without having to pay for OSCP, Sans and all this)

23 machines down, 50 days lab access left. Hope I'll pass the exam on November and become an OSCP.

Hey guys, I'll be starting my oscp/pwk course soon, any suggestions as to what should I study beforehand or types of attacks I should practice?

Knowing, that somedaf ill have that damn OSCP

I just signed up for the preparation course for the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certificate. Does anybody have experience doing this course? or has maybe some tips for the exam? or any learning suggestions?
I‘ve decided not to get a CEH certificate because its just too theoretical, the OSCP is way more practical and i think there is way more to learn from this course/exam

1. Finish personal pen-tester tool project and open-source it

2. Get eCPPT and OSCP certificateed

3. Finish bachelor degree in IT management

4. Get a proper full time dev job

5. Learn to utilize docker properly
