Love working with atom using this theme in coffeeshops, making people think I'm a top hacker, when in reality I'm just stuck with css classes or something. Equally stupid.25

*me coding in Atom in world history class*
*Teacher walks over*
Teacher: Are you on task?
Me: I'm taking notes.
Teacher: It doesn't look like it.
Me: I set a dark theme for Microsoft Word.

Friend: Atom
Me: Vs Code
Friend: Light theme
Me: Dark theme
Friend: I believe there's some kind of energy that rules our destiny.
Me: Haha, seriously, no
Friend: (Starts telling me about some proposal of how he's going to build something).
Me: Yeah that's not going to work.
Friend: (Gets angry and proceeds to explain his idea on a whiteboard)
Me: Ahhhh yeah, sure it looks great
Friend: Dammit!!

If we didn't have such a solid friendship, I think we'd hate each other by now hahaha15 -
I started with Notepad++ (and continued like that for a while)
Then I tried jetbrains webstorm, I tried atom. I tried VS. They all have their cool stuff but I was never fully satisfied.
Now I tried brackets. I just opened a project I'm working on rn and started coding a little.
Half a hour passed and I still didn't notice that I had a light theme.
Yes. This is it. I'll stay with this editor. It just feels right. I just need to figure out how to use tabs not spaces...
(picture says just my opinion)31 -

Do you think I should give Atom another shot or stick with VSCode?
I've tried it several times but I always found it sluggish, slow in everything and bugged. VSCode is so much smoother and fast.
But damn Atom is so much more good looking, especially with nebula theme.
It's like choosing between the nice, decent-looking guy and the rude but definitely good looking fuckboy chad10 -
Is there a proper dark theme for ecplise or do you have to meddle with the source code to get something proper?
I am spoiled by atom and now deeply upset.2 -
Apparently, I am using everything in light theme, from devRant to Atom.
I don't know why but code looks a lot better now.4 -
Couple days ago, I started working on online IDE using https://ace.c9.io/ .. All the functions they have are good, but documentation wasn't that good and I had to learn things by my own. I customized a theme for it to look more like atom lol, added snippet menus and some other stuff, but thinking about it the reason I started is that i saw Thimble by Mozilla and felt jealous because it looks so cool, and I want to make some thing like it.8
