[Not dev related but...] My boss is busy and not around, and the colleague is bossing me around like he's my boss :/ You're not my boss!

Have you ever felt like your company is just some shell company, making meaningless projects to feed someone's appetite of bossing people around so that it doesn't look bad in taxes because he's paying himself with the salary and we don't even know what's connected to what and noticing weird relationships like some workers are of the same family members, who are also project managers but your salary is okay enough to keep your mouth shut?

so for the past yr i have been unofficially a lead on a project, i wasnt officially a lead but i was the one in control of everything in it and got to do decisions.

the project itself was horrible, and i was the only one who delved into it and understood it thats why everyone relied on me i guess.

recently PMs took charge of it after i told them i want to do something else. now they are bossing the hell out of me to finish their new stuff in that project. Now i hate every second of my job.

i regret telling them i am unhappy with the project because at least i was the only one responsible for it. maybe long term that would have been a good reason to be promoted. but now they took charge so im afraid i wont get promoted anytime soon.

fuck my life if that case i might as well start anew in another company

and you just see posts of them like a damned entourage. like some frat house of billionaires traveling around the country to wrestling matches and having breakfast together and the weird story about Elon musk couch surfing on Trump's couch too much and the staff not liking him bossing them around. this is like a teen drama but it's your next government
