Software developers you need to work on communication skills.
Everytime LinkedIn says need a problem solver. It means a guy who can understand what non technical guy is asking for and translate that to a software or at least come up with a example of why he is wrong. Explain them. They are not dumb fellows for asking that feature. You might think the feature is stupid. Don't assume this. Sit with them. Understand thier user flow, understand the frustration your software is causing them. Then you'll see why are asking for that X feature.

Every feature request made is basically my opportunity of understanding of product. Don't wait for users to tell you requirements. Understand and suggest, implement prototypes and show them, a causal question such as "Hey would you think providing a keyboard shortcut for this submission is great?"

Understand our job is not just to write software.

Our job is to solve thier problems using software knowledge.

I found a post in the depths of the steam forum about borderlands 2,that if you open the steam-overlay's browser while in-game, go to youtube, start a video and paused it, you would get +10-15% FPS. Tried it and it worked.
I can't even start to imagine the causal chain that causes such a... bug? feature?

Rant...ish? It's more mixed feelings...

Had my first day yesterday at a new job in a big company. I came dressed really nicely in a suit and tie. Went to orientation with everyone new coming in.

Felt like I made the right choice to up my effort in dress code.

Met with my manager, was led to my team. Everyone is dressed casually. Unshaved. Giving me hate stares.

Felt out of place. But kind of happy that I can try less.

Still. What's up with programmers and being toxic to people dressed nicely o.0 I don't need to look like I came out of crunch time every single day to prove my worth...

It's really weird getting these looks. It's almost like highschool all over again. When I let my mother dress me and looked like the nerdiest kid on the block...

Then again, today I'm wearing sneakers and causal clothes. I either feel like I cave in to peer pressure... But at the same time I don't mind it. Erghhh... Still hate this...

Mixed feelings... I donno.

I like going to work on casual wear, I don't like going to work on formal wear but my boss sayings that it's part of the corporate culture and we have to follow it.

Do you guys go to work on formal or casual wear?

I've read just about every "causal" as "casual" and so I'm very confused about every "casual reasoning" and every "casual relationship" between some variants. 😐

Ok, I'm not saying there's a causal relationship here... I'm just going to say that the morning the VSCode Python extension is publicly moved in to the Microsoft product line, it starts devouring my resources by spawning a million instances of python.exe on startup. Computer unresponsive in minutes.

Again, I'm not *saying* there's a causal relationship... but I do find the timing somewhat suspicious.

Anyone knows of any worthwhile android mobile games to kill the time going to and fro work, when not in the mood to read?

I'm tired of all the "Causal Clicker" or "Freemium" crap that is on the playstore these days...

Always dismissed tools such as JSBin for no apparent reason. Gave it a go a few weeks ago, and god damn as I love JSBin now.

Could neural nets be used to solve a complex problem with a lot of predefined specific weights and biases related to real activities that could be numerically represented ?

Like if the various layers represented things who’s outcome would be cascading and a direct outcome of factors inputted to them resulting in limited number of outputs ? Like say maybe wind flow at locations resulting in a wind current at an expected time in another location and where a system would have to change to in order to result in the final expected i output ? Maybe a bad example as that could be affected by a lot of things .

But basically the gradual massaging of values that would relate to causal effects where a specific output was designed being intermediaries between the desired input and output ?
