"I thought about teaching your mom to shout, but I was like fus-ro-nah!"

Saw today a little French YouTube video, "Me, Max, developer". With overused jokes (what mom thinks I do, what my boss, etc), and, at last, the job is vaguely explained, and the video concludes by "and, sometimes, by miracle, it works! And I feel like the savior of the world"

For me, telling that something works by miracle is a proof that you don't understand what you've done, which makes you some kind of not very reliable developer...

my mom would pressure me for school and I never agreed to people's 9 to 5 nonsense and the whole thing just felt wrong to me. so all this time I've been avoiding all that and felt "wrong" for society and kept it to myself but now the pervading culture agrees with me. whoa

I did not expect this. I thought culture was static somehow and people never learned. I've never seen culture change their minds en mass so I didn't know this was possible. wild
