OFFICE 365 IS FUCKIN DOGSHIT, I CAN’T EVEN LOGIN TO FUCKING OUTLOOK BECAUSE MS WAY OF GIVING ME THE 2FA WAS SO VAGUE AND RANDOM
I FUCKING HATE MS TEAMS
I FUCKING HATE AZURE DEVOPS
I FUCKING HATE MSSQL
I FUCKING MS6 -
Why not to use gitlab:
-Runs on ruby which is VERY VERY VERY wasteful in processing power and thus in energy
-It's hosted on azure
Why to stay with github:
-There won't be a lot of change
-It's reliable and this won't change so fast
-It's like admitting defeat towards MS who want to ruin our lives lol27 -
The MS Teams SDK is bullshit. It's so half baked and comes with instructions like "you'll probably want a better implementation for production, good luck cause you'll have to write it yourself."
Oh and don't forget to cache your installations in a file called "notifications.json"
Deploying will create 2 app registrations (OIDC) and about 6 resources in Azure... But "you'll probably want to log to app insights in production"... So I hope you're very familiar with Bicep cause you'll have to figure out how to add that to your template properly and there are about 7 Bicep files to decipher and it doesn't create an app insights out of the box.
Probably written by an intern.2 -
Dear great ux lords at ms azure devops, could you make the whole freaking button clickable instead of just the text inside of the button?10
-
I won't be surprised if MS adds a "one click deploy" button in GitHub projects to Azure cloud soon, which sounds pretty cool.1

I actually found a use for Outlook's scummy default behaviour to open links in Edge and not the default browser.
On my company laptop I mainly use Librewolf because it allows installing plug-ins despite group policy. I only use Edge for Azure DevOps and company portals because MS SSO doesn't work with Librewolf for some reason.
Because Outlook disregards the OS settings and uses Edge by default, MS software forms a sort of bubble, and I can freely set Librewolf as my default browser.9 -
Fucking Power Apps and Automate/Flow:
You want to make an app?, great!
- Easy UI and editor, you can make a decent app in a day
- Best data integration in MS space bar none, connect to anything under the planet no problem.
- Deployment on mobile and desktop instantly and at scale, you better believe it.
- Wanna take from sharepoint, manipulate the data and throw it at XRM, we gothcu.
- Source control? FUCK YOU FOR ASKING GO DIE IN A FIRE.
- Proper permission system, Yep, based on O365 and azure AD
- Just let me get the source code please?: BURN IN HELL MOTHERFUCKER
- Integrated AI, indeed we have it. And chatbot frameworks on top of it, no problem at all
- ...
As a tool it is aimed at non technical people, not by making it beginner friendly, but by making it developer hostile. And whenever you hit a wierd quirk in the editor you wish you could just go edit the source code (WHICH YOU CAN TOTALLY SEE SNIPPETS OF), but you are never allowed to touch it.
I am so very tempted to make a version control layer on top of it myself, scraping it via scripts and doing the reverse on upload, but it will be janky as fuck.1 -
Today I investigated how one could build a Windows 10 VM.
We have an Azure subscription in our company (which is expensive enough), which gives me access to their new interface where it looked like I could build a Windows 10 VM. I was so happy that MS actually made this feature for developers, until I got redirected to the MSDN front-page telling me that you would need ANOTHER FUCKING SUBSCRIPTION to do that. This is fucked up. You pay for access to Office 365, then you pay for Azure and THEN you pay for MSDN just to pay for another Windows 10 license so you can test a simple Azure feature on Windows 10. How about nope.6 -
Recently got two MS certifications. Not big ones, just one fundamentals and one associate level. And trust me, is this the level of the questions? Like they've mentioned in the MS Learn platform that it needs atleast some hands on experience in order to pass, and guess what, I didn't have any. Just mug up the theory from the MS Learn platform, mug up some dumps and you're great to go. More than 90% of the questions in both exams were from the mugged up dumps. I mean wtf. Just mugging up some stuff and vomitting it up in the exam will earn you a "industry ready" certification and that makes you equivalent to having a 1-2 year hands on experience? That's simple bullsh!t. Come on MS. Give questions that are really brain tickling. You expect developers and you're just making up some mugging up robots.1

Fuck ms, fuck azure, fuck azure b2c, fuck azure b2b, fuck azure ad, fuck ms once again, fuck my company that decided to switch from another hell to this hell1

Oh mighty how I hate Windows 10
1. It will run that "antimalware" malware killing your CPU
2. Fucking shit will auto restart for updates so if you run some 24h process you are doomed, and there is nothing you can do to stop it, unless maybe deep shit digging in MS god only knows registry values
3. Will be your fucking daddy showing you blue box, "oh we detected you may be a pussy, so we prevented this exe from running, please click 50 times to allow it because we care about you by creating virus prone OS in 1990 and we continue to do so"
NO Microshit horsefuckeers stop developing this garbage OS, let it die and force the world to use Linux, yes harder at first for every day Joe, but once learned it's state of the art OS, even your Azure cloud runs of Linux so for fuk sake stop develping WinDOS!
Or let the user to configure "fuck off mode" I don't want your virus scanner I don't want your protection, just fuck off and let people to whatever the duck the want!27 -
Did anyone notice azure seems to be down now.. Sometimes I do wonder should I create a twitter account just to swear at MS...7

3 weeks into getting dragged into another MS-stack project, I have already been repeatedly reminded why I decided to invest so much energy in moving my career as far away from Microsoft dependency as possible. Even something as simple as reviewing settings on Azure App Service is a hit-or-miss affair, being completely unavailable for hours at a time at least once a week. Azure Functions are consistently unavailable for at least a few minutes every day. Don't even get me started on "Azure DevOps".
Why the fuck do people still place their trust (and critical infrastructure) in the hands of Microsoft?4 -
We should begin refusing to work for companies who enforce using MS products. Need to buy actual desktop office license because their software doesn't accept web-edited elements? Pass.
Seeing a "are you still there" message in MS teams, or figuring out what other browser to use since you already have several MS accounts? Pass.
Azure devops and no way to expand the code during review?
Yup, pass!
Enough of this BS. People who opt for using MS software don't care about their users nor contractors' experience. We shouldn't care about those people.24 -

Have deployed wordpress site to MS Azure App service with Mysql (in app purchase - from ClearDb). Problem is that TTFB is very high ( 30-50 sec) even site is not cold.
Note: - Always Available is ON
Please suggest me anything I am missing here.4 -
it's going to be a 'headphones on and don't disturb me' kinda day, fucking bugs and not stable apis and a lot of stories to finish...
-
What all are the benefits I could get if I host my PHP project in MS Azure Platform instead of hosting into any other.4
