So apparently Fixed IPs are not a thing for HFC connections unless you have a business account.

Although I didn’t pay for a fixed ip on adsl and it states it’s “dynamic”, mind you it hasn’t changed in 6 years... so it may aswell be fixed right? Right?

Now I have to go explore DDNS with Cloudflare, looks like a api call on ip change will do the trick but urgh.

Ps: I finally.... made it to the nbn - well that’s next week...

It's taken this shit company 6 "Specialist" technicians and almost 2 months to identify that the connector from the mainline to the multiport is not aligning. Now I have a planned remediation date of the 15th October.

Possible 6 months without internet. FML

There year is 2019, and down here in Australia we have a fuckup called the NBN (National Broadband Network). We all have to switch to it, from ADSL2. Promised dreams and joys, only to be fucked again and again.

Paying $89 AUD per month for 25mbps, however only getting 0.61mBITSps at times. (Literally can see it at home.danferg.com)

Call up support. "Have you rebooted your router?" Yes. "Have you done a test?" Yes. "Can you send me the screenshot?" No, I did it through the CLI. "... What's a CLI?" Fuck.

"So.. have you got a test?" Yeah, I have 7000 of them, from each minute of the day for the past while. *Silence* "oh.... Ok well, we'll have to see if you qualify for a discount" DISCOUNT?! GIVE ME MY FUCKING MONEY BACK.

So us Aussies are about to literally be forced into using NBN soon (for people who aren't Aussies, NBN would be worse than using a log of shit as your ethernet cable) and having all ADSL connections cut off... Fan fucking tastic!

They can barely keep the NBN up and running for one day and can barely deliver promised speeds but nooooooooooooooooooooo, everyone must fucking use it...

After 3 years of postponed delivery dates and enduring a crappy internet connection the result is close enough to touch. 1 Week until I get a solid internet connection and can join the rest of modern society.

100Mbps internet here I come!

Do it's been about 19 days since my last update on my shitty internet and the upgrade that's meant to be in the pipeline for the current month.
Despite seeing people laying cable around my neighbourhood there's been no update on their website or in my letterbox.
It's halfway through the month and news outlets are reporting that the NBN has said that they:

Have 99% coverage
100,000 suburbs that aren't fully catered to

But, can't cater to a property that is in a relatively dense area less than 20km from a major city.

Does anyone know the best way of doing GPU stuff in C? I have a cuda enabled GTX 1050, but the cuda drivers screw everything up on machine for some reason.
Is there a better way to do this without the cuda drivers?
