Hypothetically, your parents partly own a company. They ask you to do some technical stuff for this company (They think its easy, but technically speaking its not. IT isnt magic), but you've got a graduate school, an unfinished research proposal, and a day job with deadlines to deal with. You still do it anyway. Do you have a right for some sort of compensation? Do you have the right to reject?12

so yea, ive been emailing japanese professors to take me in as their grad student. but theyre not accepting new international students for 2021 AY maybe because of covid.
this is sad, i need to be there next year. but things arent going well.
my plan B is to become a research fellow at my current uni after i graduate next year, get some research published and fortify my arsenal for 2022 academic year.1 -

PAGE BREAK AFTER IS FUCKED UP. FML
ok guys, if you have any recommendation or alternative to page-break-after, please let me know. im desperately in need of a goddamn solution.
heres my problem, ive got a table, inside the table is the tbody, now i only want two rows to be displayed in each page (im doing html for pdf docs). so what ive been trying to do is adding <tr class="display:block;page-break-after: always !important"> whenever it meets the condition (rowCount%2!=0).
Ive been trying to figure this out for the last 12 fucking hours. cheesus fucking crust. ik this isnt stackoverflow but stack hasnt really been helpful as well :( FML6 -
god i hate css, html, bootsrap, anything that requires you to be creative. its mentally exhausting. and time consuming. it takes hours just to get those divs aligned and responsive wtf25

i still dont get how you retrieve webhook payload thru localtunnel. i just took my way around by polling

turns out, dealing with time series data is on another level. i clearly still have a lot to learn. finally forecasted 25 days worth of slippage4
-
hey guys, im a total noob and new to this field. this post is open for criticism and suggestions.
so i wanna forecast slippage (dependent) using the % WT Plan (planned work, the predictor).
i get -0.35 for correlation.
and im using knn regression
how does this look to you? insights and comments are appreciated. thanks!43 -
data science is just a sexy word for statistics.
1% programming skills
99% practically all science thats not computer science8 -
working with odoo is like being inlove with a terribly annoying person.
"I really like you, but wtf?" -
odoo keeps showing nameerror: name 'id' is not defined.
like bruh, 'id' is in default, the primary key of my fucking model. why the hell cant i reference it

self.content != rant
my proposed project was accounting system for small scale businesses. after painstakingly copy pasting codes xD from an existing project(which i have previously made during college days), although i have already anticipated this idea and wasnt really planning to create a five-star-in-usability kinda system for a small project, i realised that i cant make accounting a standalone system, it has to be a module. just a module. but i dont like that, it defeats the grand purpose of what i really want my system to be, it has to be a standalone system with fewer user inputs.
welp. gotta do what u gotta do now. create additional modules(inventory, invoicing, etc). also deadline's a couple of weeks from today. -
this should have been my first rant, but ive never thought about this till now. here goes.
did anyone actually find out about this community by googling problems with profanity? and instead getting some thread from stackoverflow, they got a rant post from this website haha6
