@Chewbanacas they're fantastic. But honestly, if not needed, I recommend not to go professional. Been using community edition for the past 10 years and now have to use professional at work.

Its way too overloaded. Performance is terrible and it seems like theres a lot more bugs. The only feature that's really awesome on professional is the DB client which is better then most standalone clients.
But still better than any other IDE so I should stop complaining haha

I can't stand any of them.. JetBrains IDEs 4 LIFE 😄 I know some technologies require them but still.. Every time I use one of them I feel like I travelled back to 2010.

Domain knowledge comes with time anyway but can give you a head start.

In investment banking I think domain knowledge comes in very handy. There's so much to learn, if the domain knowledge is already there it makes life a lot easier.

But main thing about finance is learning to avoiding rounding errors tbh 😂

@Root I know sounds weird. But you wouldn't believe how boring telecom is.

Its a very big company so things are more organized, shared responsibility etc. So they don't take advantage of individuals so much. Wouldn't go back into a smaller company (especially startup) in finance though.

Once was an iOS developer for 4 years. Didn't write a single line of code for iOS.

Resign mate.. Find a better place. I've been in situations like this and unfortunately let them do stuff like that to me for way too long. Even after leaving it took me years to mentally recover from that place. Its not worth it, believe me..
