My father is an electrical engineer and using computers from MainFrame times. So, duirng my childhood I always see computers arround me. This is the first reason I fall in love with computers and programing.

I think I am using a computer since 3rd grade. Or mightbe erlier. doesn't remamber.

In the last days, my developer was working with different kinds of databases.
He uses a database, named TimeScale DB (Timescale). This is the plugin of a famous SQL database PostgreSQL.

He imports the same data in PostgreSQL and timescale DB.

Size in Timescale DB is = 24KB
Size in Simple PostgreSQL = 166MB

This is the record of 1000000 rows, 12 columns.

Data fetching is the same on both databases, But if we fetch time-based data, (e.g 2 days, 24 hours, From Date to Date) we have a 50% to 200% difference depending on the query. python3 & elixir is also working fine with DB.

Results are also nearly the same with InfluxDB.

For a specific use-case, we have software that is handling Simple and time-series data at the same time. If anyone wants to suggest something new, Also tell us.

Why do people compare languages? Like C++ vs JAVA, C++ vs Python, C++ vs Elixir?
All languages are best in their own specific use-cases. So why we need to compare all this stuff?

Or might be I am wrong.

Today’s Google Doodle celebrates Egyptian pioneer of Arabic language computing, Dr. Nabil Ali, on his 82nd birthday. Dr. Nabil Ali’s innovations in the field of computational linguistics propelled the Arab world into the Information Age by creating programs that enabled computers to understand Arabic in digital form.

Dr. Nabil Ali was born in Cairo on this day in 1938. Expressing an interest in art at a young age, Mohamed was inspired to apply his creative passion for visual aesthetics to the world of engineering. After obtaining his PhD in Aeronautical Engineering at Cairo University, he spent over 20 years working as an engineer with the Egyptian Air Force, as well as with various computer and electronics companies throughout the world.

For Dr. Nabil Ali, digitization of Arabic, with its complex linguistic rules and morphology, was a way to connect Arabic speakers with the world.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Nabil Ali published a number of papers, books, and technical reports in support of the developments he was making in the field of computational linguistics. His work won him several awards, including the prestigious Saudi Arabian award, the King Faisal Prize, in 2012—recognizing his pioneering contributions to the Arabic Language and Literature.

2019. I found a guy, CTO of our client. 50+ age. He teaches a lot to us. In development, I enjoy this year, because this year has more learning then last year.
I start work on 3 more languages, see more possiblities in IT, Avionics Softwares, Aviation systems.
This year, I also learn a lot about data center power distribution.
So this year was full of learning and new things in development and IT.

In case of error, During error solving and decrease the tension:

some take coffee
Some do smoke
Some consume alcohol
Some take beers
I take lot of water and start loud senseless music.

What do you do?

Most difficult part is to work with company where all senior admins are from sales. They never f*cking idea about developers problems.

Just give time to end user customer before 3 month schedule. and now thinking, we can do 3 months working in 4 days.

The sales people think nine women can deliver a baby in just One month. just pushing me to hire new developers.

Some people love to use keyboards. I also wanna use a keyboard and not a big fan of mouse stuff while coding. It is not a crime. You wanna use your text editor to use it. Why some of the folks came on desk daily to tell me about their editors? Use what works for you. I like it, I use it. Its all...

I start programing in 8th grade as hobby, write games. I got job in just 50$ a month.
The part is, I work 3 years in same.

Now after 13 years of work I got a job here in my current company, where we developers got our desired respect. I can say a good sallery too.

But I think sallery doesn't matter mucch, if your bosses are not nuts and they can understand the problems of developers.
