I so fucking hate mosquitoes. At this point I'm seriously willing to lure all those bitches in and guide them straight to an electrical death. Problem is, I know how to generate super high voltage to char the fuckers right into smelly dust, but I don't know how to lure them in, or even find them manually, so let alone automatically. Even a chemical reaction we can electronically dispense to lure in the fuckers, but I have no idea what that chemical stuff would be. I'm not a chemist (yet). But if I can build it, fucking hell.. I would build a ton of them, weaponize my entire home and even build some spares to send off to fellow ranters. Because those parasitic bitches must DIE!! The only reason why they still exist after thousands of years is because we didn't kill the fuckers yet. I want to fucking kill the leeches, preferably in the most gruesome way possible.
So yeah. A shout for help to my fellow ranters this is.. perhaps even a collab. I have no idea about the stuff that draws those fuckers into their death. Any suggestions? Whoever can guide me to the demise of those parasitic pieces of shit, seriously.. if at all feasible, I'll build it for you and ship it!! Death to those parasitic blood-sucking bitches!!!26 -
I have the urge to fucking smash all of the mosquitoes on the whole universe.
I tried to sleep many times after killing 2 of them. But there are still more of them. Anyways, "since I am fully awake, let us do some research" I thought lol.
-In the research I found that only the female mosquitoes are the ones who are annoying us.
The male mosquitoes dislike drinking blood and eat nectar instead.
And not only that...
-There are approximately 3.5k types of mosquitoes and only a few hundred of these are the bad guys, even if they look all the same.
-Human-biting mosquitoes fly at heights of less than 25 feet in general.
-Mosquitoes are hunting us, because of a specific substance. Carbon dioxide. Every time we exhale CO2, we kind of create a path for the mosquitoes to find us :). They think about it like this:
>co2 detected
>there is probably going to be a meal
>let us fucking get it
-Female mosquitoes flap their Wings slower than male mosquitoes thus it makes it easier for male mosquitoes to detect female mosquitoes.
-Male mosq. do not touch female mosq., when they are resting, but once a female starts buzzing the male recognizes that pattern, flies to her and starts making love.
- A scientist who was working for the US Army found out that the male mosq. will even try to mate with recordings of female mosquitoes' sounds.
-They can not fly until the 10th floor as someone has observed it.
-But then again they have been found breeding up to 8k feet in the Himalayas.
-They live in the water and barely come to the surface for food and o2.
Ps: While I was writing this rant, another 2 mosquitoes bit me and I fucking killed them.35 -

So, the house next door to me is being renovated into half a dozen apartments. This process has been ongoing for like 4 years of here-and-there houseflipper failboating, and if I had to guess, 3 owners worth of this fuckery.
The latest shitheel trying to polish this turd into something saleable has had it sit partially covered with plastic for months, mostly getting rained on. One crew came by last week and put half the thermal shielding up before something happened and they left. Then half of it fell off the house, into my yard. Nice person that I am I gathered it all up and left it in the various excavated pools of water on their property in which I can only imagine they are busily raising farm to table mosquitoes for the local market.
FF to today and I see a crew pull up to the house and start nailing plywood to the side of the house with no thermal pad underneath it. Which is a legit code violation and a mold hazard, but yolo amirite? I chat up some of the guys and find out that they were scheduled to install the plywood today (apparently he'd run out of money for the nice modular siding they used on the back half) and the owner didn't give a shit if the rest of the work was done. Meanwhile shit is still falling off the house onto my house, but also wgaf. 🚬
Tl;Dr the people trying to flip the house next to mine were obviously IT managers in a previous life.6 -

A bit random but I'm just really anrgy
Why the fuck. Why do mosquitoes have to exist. Fucking go outside in certain places for 5 minutes and these spawns of Satan suck me dry.
I swear these things have all come through a portal straight from hell.
And then its gotta itch like fucking mad for the next days, driving me straight up insane.
I'll be glad when I get back to my place. Climate might be cold and raining a large part of the year but fuck that's so much better than fucking getting poked by these fuckers this much again.14 -
I wish I could debug mosquitoes.. this way I could leave them hanging on a breakpoint all night and prevent them from flying next to my ear just before I fall asleep2

Two days ago, I was solving a coding challenge on hackerank, I was so frustrated I couldn't get one year to pass, I tried c++, python, Golang, same shit, still that same test...I couldn't sleep, I close my eyes, I see this in my sleep, I go back to my keyboard, 4am, I am still on this challenge, 6am, nothing, then I decided to go have breakfast and hang out with a friend, then while hanging out he said "don't finish the pizza, that's my lunch" immediately it clicked in my head that I was missing a logic of less than zero as it was stated as a constraint, I immediately went back home and now all test cases passed....guess what, I now have malaria from not sleeping under the net 😭😭...
P.S: I am Nigerian tho, mosquitoes are a thing5 -
This is for all those people that like dark themes and when asked why you say it's because light attracts bugs.
I would like to explain how that is just so wrong. Bugs attracted to light are moths and a few other flying bugs.
The rest of the bugs live and thrive in darkeness. Cockroaches, bedbugs, spiders etc.
In fact mosquitoes hunt at night and prefer to hunt in the dark.
I just had to put this out there.5 -
The mudaphuking mosquitoes are literally saying "I don't give a fuck about death" to me.
I can kill them anyhow and they just keep coming every hour every day at my house. It's like my hands are having period.

2:17 AM, it's raining, I have opened my windows and still temperature is above 30 C.
Can't sleep and will have to convince my boss I haven't been drinking all night in the weekdays (don't know if he'll believe though).
Ah, almost forgot, there are also mosquitoes, besides biting you everywhere in your body there's the risk of contracting Zika, dengue and chikungunya.
That's why I *love* Brazil
**story if my life3 -
Fuck mosquitoes.
One little fucker buzzed around me having the feast of its life as I gave a proctored fucking hackerrank test7 -
Aaaaaaggghhhhj fuck you mosquitoes ! Fucking fuckly fuck you all!!! i wish to have a fuckin hunk spider with 8 eyes and a diminishing machine right now... We 2 will get smaller enough to come below my bed to the nasty place you jerks are hiding then use the webs to catch everyone of you to give you a slow painful death by spider claws.
Bloody micro fuckers1 -
The most satisfying bug, the fucking mosquitoes at night, after buzzing around my head or hours. Fixed them by fucking smashing them on the wall with a shoe.
Oh wait, you meant a dev bug.
On my previous job, any problem that my egocentric idiot that i had as PM couldn't solve and i could, was satisfying to solve. -

Today was a good day:
- made good steps forward with one of my personal projects, learning a few things along the way
- squashed a bunch of bugs
- almost finished some heavy reorg of the git repo for another project
- killed like 4 mosquitoes (those things are annoying af!)
Today was a good day! -
All these big tech companies making facilities that largely incorporate being outside as part of the work experience...am I the only one that thinks "but what about the insects"?2
